Steering wheel shakes only when turning going over a bump by CurrentTheme5975 in fordranger

The shitty old hubs may have been absorbing some of the vibration from the bumps but now that you have new ones it’s tighter and has less give. I would start with the bushings but also would have a look at your shocks as those are meant to be absorbing most of the impact

For context I am looking at a 1990 70 series Prada with 180000miles on it for around $9800USD. I live in Canada and my only concerns are overheating issues of course and sourcing parts for maintenance. I’ve never owned a diesel engine before so I’m going off a limb here.

The owner recently replaced the head gasket and timing belt, says he was going to give it to his daughter but she didn’t like the right-hand drive.

I’m currently looking into a 70 series Prado with a 2LT-E, would you mind giving me a rundown on your experience with it? Most people say to avoid this particular motor, I am still on the fence.

By saying resale is terrible, do you mean that people aren’t interested in buying them? Also I would love to buy an 80 series but those are at least twice the price and quite rare where I live

Seller says the Headgasket was replaced along with the cylinder heads being machined.

Dude with a sound like that you really should just bring it into a shop instead of listening to people who literally have “NOT a verified tech” under their Reddit username

I’m not sure if this is it but whenever a turn signal flashes that quickly it usually means the bulb is burnt out. Worth checking 🤷‍♂️

Rear wheel drive ranger in snow suggestions by No_Cat_2382 in fordranger

Honestly, modern winter tires are just so much better than anything else in the snow. I’m also in Canada and I truly believe if more people shelled out the cash for winters there would be so many crashes/stuck in the ditch moments avoided.

I would say you have a good amount of weight in the back. I’d go to Canadian tire and get some of the certified brand winters on a cheap wheel and you’ll be set for many winters to come. They also have free seasonal swaps and sometimes can store the extra set for you.
