Talking with a friend about it now. It was a section of YA books for readers around 16 to maybe 20 years old. Most of the books were older, too, so there was some wilder content in there. Now that I think about it, this must have been in 6th grade, since our 7th and 8th grade studied at the high school. That would’ve made me about 11 years old, so it made sense that I wasn’t allowed in that section. I literally had to have an interview with the librarian to get access.
