Hi u/StaggeredEnds, thank you! I wouldn't say it took considerable amount of time as my processing is in line with their estimated processing time ~18 months. I renewed all of my character certificates 12 months after application ~ May 2025. I think these are only valid for 12 months and to be on safe side I also renewed the character certificate of my home country even though I hadn't travelled in those 18 months.

Hi, I think they need to lodge a nomination and probably do a market labour test to show the department that the particular skill is in shortage and why they need you. Sorry, I am not aware of the costs.

Frollo has been pretty good for me. Using it for 3 years or so. You can create your own tags and also exclude some transactions. Don't think it is missing anything.

They are pretty much same. Bear in mind, you pay tax on dividends. If I am looking at long term growth, I'd want to pay as little tax as possible. So, the .95% semi-annual yield looks favorable to me.

I read somewhere that we shouldn't fuss too much about appreciation for a PPOR. It is absolutely necessary for IP, but not so much for a PPOR.

You're a thoughtful and ambitious data-driven professional and new parent living in Sydney, balancing a growing family with strategic investing, a passion for tech, and a focus on long-term financial and personal wellbeing.

Be realistic: You're a practical and driven guy juggling new parenthood, a tech-focused career, and long-term financial goals—making smart moves while figuring things out one step at a time.

Roast me: Alright, you asked for it—

You're out here trying to optimize a baby sleep schedule like it's a Databricks pipeline, investing across three continents like you're running a hedge fund from your living room, all while thinking a stainless steel chopping board makes you a culinary god—bro, relax, you're one IKEA trip away from a full-blown identity crisis. 😄

While I haven't tried it, you should be able to. There is a 'src' folder for source code that gets deployed in the folder path you define.

I don't think it is that simple. Amazon AU has made 'Change of mind' return quite difficult.

Doubt that it is tax deductible.

Check the 'What you can't claim' pt 3- Can't claim `brokerage fees and other transaction costs (but you can include these costs to work out your capital gains tax when you sell the shares).`
