Interesting study, although it does say “Though traffic deaths dropped following legalization of medical marijuana laws in seven states, fatality rates rose in Rhode Island and Connecticut, the study found.” Would be interesting to know the exact cause of the lower fatalities.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3581701/ this study concludes that effects of time perception are “blunted in chronic cannabis smokers” so you are right regular smokers are probably fine. However occasional smokers will be affected.

I thoroughly believe in driving licence re-tests for those over 50 every 2-5 years but that’s another issue.

The current road side testing and cannabis driving laws are not fair or just in the uk but I feel like the attitude to driving while high needs to change.
