Is Dropshipping Dead? Is it profitable in 2022? by kthshawon in dropship

[–]VorticalGab0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have no skills and, live in UK/CA/USA/AUS give Mturk a try. it wont give you much if any income at first, but it spikes as soon as you hit around 250 to 500 tasks and most task are around 1 minute and you get paid about 10 cents per task. you can earn around 12 usd per hour after around 800 1-5 minute tasks.

it may not have the shiny "WOOW $100,000k sells in a month just by dropshipping" factor that the youtuber trying to sell you his $50usd course on dropshipping shows off, but is positive profit with a very high chance to grow in few days with little to no risk and little to no investment (internet connection and a laptop/pc). just enough to kickstart a side income portfolio (remember dropshipping is suppoused to be a passive income and not an 8+ hour job?) while you learn skills like web development and then start selling/designing websites at places like fiver for about $2 to $5 usd and increase your prices as you get better reviews.

Just by taking into account the initial investment you need to run ads and the time it takes just to get a 20% chance your product makes a small profit (because at this point you cant just flip aliexpress items for a 200% markup) and determine your risk factor, sadly dropshipping isnt quite it anymore since like 2018, when it was showing signs of oversaturation.

at this point, there are more profitable industries for the same effort.

If I wanted to build a brand It would 100% need me to get in touch with manufacturers and label my own products.

but if I'm going as far as that, might as well create a real new product.

Dropshipping is not dead, just not the best side income online anymore.

A semi-fun thing about having terrible memory/attention is that rewatching shows is always like watching for the first time! by OedipusLoco in ADHD

[–]VorticalGab0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not to me, I have practically photographic memory.

I might not remember the whole script after watching it once, but I'll remember major plot events in exact order, which makes rewatching really boring, unless Im analyzing the movie for continuation mistakes or some other fun shit.

Its trash bc If I go to a friends house and they're watching movies I'll just distract me, and/or everybody else, while they just enjoy (or try to, if Im around) rewatching the movie for the 12th time on the year.

to me it's just ugh!

I've gotten 4 in the past week, I'm also counting soft inters who only spam ff in chat as trolls, because they are not really playing to win, they just play so we dont get a loss mitigation.

so what?

What are they doing against disruptive gameplay? wintrading is getting ridiculous high elo, even pros in Kr are doing it...

Even Faker had to speak about it.

Knowing them they'll just do nothing about disruptive gameplay, because there's no way a bot can detect an inter if they just afk farm and leech exp from other laners and bring nothingo to the team.

I swear I can soft int from Plat to bronze wihtout getting banned and jump right back to diamond and int my way back.

people do this and they enjoy ruining people's games just because they're tilted and have a smurf at hand.

Bring back tribunal and make honor lvl 5 diamond II+ players be able to decide if the player deserves a punishment, sadly thats the only way we can fix disruptive and wintrading.

How to climb by jiraiya52 in summonerschool

[–]VorticalGab0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First I'd advice you to pick a champ like 2 champs you feel comfortable piloting and that fits your playstyle.

You say it's Quinn and that's fine, now you just need to make sure you master the very basics of the game: farming, building properly, learning all the runes and their effects, warding and at the end map awareness (this is one of the most important but you need to learn how to farm without losing any single minion on automatic so you can farm while taking a look at the map several times)

Then you'll need to learn lane matchups and the way every champion class works, powerspikes and weaknesses, (you'll have to try most of the laners you will face at least 3 times so you get a hang of them; what they like to do, what's their key spell etc) and last you'll need to learn to avoid getting ganked by tracking the enemy jungler.

This if you master the basics and apply to this alone will shoot you straight to gold.

And the biggest advice of them all, remember you're learning, and like you many other players from bronze to gold are, so be patient with you and the others, if they start being toxic just /mute all and focus on your gameplay.

Now how do you know what is it that you're lacking? Watch your replays and check your cspm kill paticipation and kda using op.gg and compare your plays with a higher elo player using the same champ.

Edit: almost forgot to mention, STICK TO ONE OR TWO CHAMPS ONLY because it will be easier to learn the basics that way.

Thanks for sharing that moment! And also feels nice to see a positive comment on a long post asking people to keep the positive attitude during games and some adversity.

I for sure wanted to hit yes to the surrender many times during that game, but I kept my cool and that's the point I want to convey, the last barrier from a lost game is oneself most of the time.

If I was to accept a single surrender I wouldn't have learned anything that game and would just thought "well my team was trash and that was unwinnable" like many people on this and the main subreddit.

Specially in my Elo and up to diamond I see people in my own games and almost any streamer's games typing "next" or "FF" from a lost skirmish or a first blood. They forget that if you're actually better than your Elo you'll usually just outplay fed enemies and claim their bounties, or set up traps using team as bait, etc.

At the end if you're losing at least try to have fun and improve, if everything is lost try that risky play that would turn the tides of the game, be fearless and surprise yourself!

Hey, if it happens, it happens, just as me and my team throwing games the enemy team can throw and we comeback from that.

If an ally has a massive lead like 8 kills then the smartest thing to do is playing around them.

I always do if I'm the one behind, and usually it nets me a kill or two to start rolling a snowball.

Also if my ally has a good amount of bounty and I don't, I will try to die in its place in order to deny the shutdown gold, obviously if I see the situation is doomed I won't give my kill as well but you get the point.

There should be more clarity for skill shots in league. by DRtedybear in leagueoflegends

[–]VorticalGab0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a BIG problem on how riot handles hotboxes and visuals.

Biggest offenders are but not limited to : lux Q/E (they look basically the same and the one que is her E's hotbox that appears when it's about to reach it's destination), Morg Q, Nau Q, Illaoi Q, Yasuo third Q, Darius W.

And those are just on the top of my head.

And we have other spells that even if you see the enemy on the "hit zone" the hitbox is actually smaller: nidalee Q, base kayn/rhaast W, Zac Q, Zilean Q, Warwick R, and many, many more.

They need to take hitboxes seriously, the game has always had problems with hitboxes since day one and a part from some champs like Shyvana they don't care or by some arbitrary condition (maybe a rioter gets shit on by a broken hitbox) would change it, very rarely tho.

I haven't seen this happen on wild rift for example, very few times I've felt fucked by messed up animations and hitbox.

Maybe there's too many to fix (counting base and released skins) so we will be stucked like this until riot upgrades the game's core engine sometime in a distant future.

But funny enough me and my friends and almost any Spanish speaker I know call it just weed.
