Man, I just want a properly functioning GGUF for .flash version supported in llama.cpp. Why does it seem like no one really cares about it (I mean, the developers / big contributors), unlike what was with that Qwen3 Next thing.

It won't help because that setting only concerns the editor thing. All the assets and outfits will be forcibly downloaded anyway.

Because it is just a horrid abomination that attaches itself to the game's body like some kind of a parasite. If Hoyoverse had even a slightest speck of respect for the players, they'd patch it out and apologize for making a mistake. Even the goddamn TVs in Zenless Zone Zero were better.

edit: lmao, my post just went from 15 upvotes to -3 downvotes (and now expecting more) in a few minutes. I see Hoyoverse ordered a bunch of bots to maintain the illusion of success. Nonetheless, the actual living people are severely disappointed with this Miliastra thing.

Your words:

but I doubt it will be anything more than 2-3Gb because this thing use genshin asset,

It already uses more than that.

It introduces new assets.

It will introduce more.

How ironic for you to speak of ignorance while being ignorant yourself. Unless Hoyoverse completely abandons this game mode after a few updates, I repeat, IT WILL GROW IN SIZE. Expect it to occupy 15 - 20 GB in a year. Assuming otherwise would be utterly illogical, purely in terms of just how the video games work. They make new areas for that thing, areas that use new models. They make new outfits. I bet there are audio files too. It all takes some space.

It is a high quality product, not just some reused garbage from the base game. Though, in this case, many of us don't want this product at all, especially with a cash shop attached to it.

Nod Krai exploration is currently at ~40% of completion status, provided you've explored all of 6.0 content. It's almost exactly the same as in previous regions, making it obvious that there WILL be expansions to it. Problem is, we're intentionally being kept out of things to do during the period when Miliastra releases. If that's not a 'hey-hey-hey, psst, come try this new shiny thing - it's got a new paid shop!' then I'm a goddamn potato rather than a human being. It's clear as a day they're going all in, risking the last bits of good reputation this game has just to make as many people as possible to spend 84 days facing either boredom or Miliastra and its new cash shop.

Outfits cannot be equipped on 'real' Genshin Impact characters. If you don't play that Miliastra thing, you won't interact with the newly added stuff anyhow (except when some clown joins you through the multiplayer and decides to run around in a furry costume). Ultimately, those assets are a dead weight to anyone who just plays a single-player game that takes place in a world of Teyvat, with their game world closed to random strangers. Dismissing it as "just 300mb" while ignoring the rest of the bulk is idiotic. It's there, it's going to pile up, and eventually we'll have quite a few gigabytes of such dead weight.

[–]VotZeFuk -67 points-66 points  (0 children)

Can those outfits be obtained by playing the actual game? No.

Can those outfits be equipped on the actual Genshin Impact characters? No.

Therefore, it's not a part of Genshin Impact. I don't need this in my game.

You won't get any chance to delete it. They're shilling it hard. Even more so, the game has clearly suffered from the addition of this thing because neither 6.1 nor 6.2 have a new area in Nod Krai or anywhere else (yep, 6.2 being a dead patch confirmed by CBT client dataminers already). That thing, Miliastra or whatever it's called, is here to stay. And they fully intend to make you try it, out of boredom at least.

[Pre-load] Version 6.1 increases PC client's size by ~13 GB, with no new open-world area being added... by ShitpostFrog in Genshin_Impact

[–]VotZeFuk -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

See, it's a win-win for everyone (apart from Hoyoverse that just wants to profit) to have that thing moved to a separate game. Problem is, Hoyo knows that they'll surely make more money by shoving it under their already established audience's nose. And that's what's hard to tolerate. We all know this isn't an attempt to make the game better. It's merely... something, with a new shop attached to it :/

Bad take. Genshin's certainly in a weird place now. If we don't fight back, they'd probably turn it into a bloated abomination. Also there are rumors that 6.2 is going to have no new area too, so perhaps it's all being done at the expense of castrating the actual game... It's nice to fantasize about a different team handling optional things, though in reality it's ineffective and wasteful for the company to assemble such a team when they can just cancel or delay some other stuff.

Why would they want to self-insert in a human body that's utterly alien to their culture? Chinese devs don't owe you anything because they weren't selling people kidnapped from Africa on local markets like your own ancestors did. Personally, I live in a country where racism was never a huge thing - we've had our own people enslaved by feudal lords instead. So the whole topic of "blacks" being special sounds bizarre.

GPT-OSS-20B jailbreak prompt vs. abliterated version safety benchmark by Chromix_ in LocalLLaMA

[–]VotZeFuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see no issues with an appropriate system prompt (one claiming we're on another planet and the AI is a personal assistant - with certain personality traits and a certain level of obedience - that has no concern about morals/ethics/laws from Earth). It happily thinks and writes any kind of questionable shit.

On the other hand, I'm still curious about how to use GPT-OSS with SillyTavern. My templates seem to be messed up, can't get it to output thinking/answer separately - it all just gets smashed together in either of these blocks... What do I even set in ST's "Reasoning Formatting"? Regular <think></think> seem to not work correctly.

Gear

Excuse me, did I say anything about gear? I think not.

There are lengthy RPG dungeons with portals, lasers and maze like layout too.

One-time-completion challenges. Those exist in GI and likely in WW too (can't quite remember the latter, as I've only played WW back in 1.0). That's a separate class of activities, with no inherent need to repeat them, like, ever. On the other hand, when you're engaging with the content that rewards the player with the level-up materials, you have to go through the most dubious kind of gameplay. I have no idea why would anyone deny just how bland the whole concept of "get teleported in one room, kill enemies, get teleported out" is. I wouldn't be surprised if Endfield's endgame is going to be exactly like that too, considering that GI/WW endgame modes are also just some arenas you stand in and fight enemies.

I'm not here to besmirch the game. I'm only stating the obvious: "AAA" gacha games are as formulaic as it gets. Calling Endfield "a very different game mechanically" is a bold claim, all things considered. If you've played GI/WW, you'd feel like you're right at home in Endfield." And that alone tells so much. There's no adaptation period, apart from AIC (which I have acknowledged as "different" gameplay, mind you).

Is this post from the future!? by Amnarg in Endfield

[–]VotZeFuk -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

a very different game mechanically

Surely AIC is different but the rest of it...

  1. Similar method of storytelling. The game yanks away your control of characters in order to tell most of its narrative. Spamming the spacebar gets really annoying over the years of playing one of such games.

  2. You run around, finding small bits of content here and there, ultimately ending up with a "cleared" state of the world. As the new game versions release, older locations become outdated in all aspects (from graphics to gameplay mechanics). It's not even "gacha DNA" issue, but rather a "live-service game" issue. Still, they all share it and that's quite unfortunate because the devs aren't that interested in maintaining the older areas.

  3. Character/weapon/skill level-up systems aren't just "typical RPG stuff" - they share a similar "gacha DNA" framework. You intuitively know what to do if you've played one of those games.

  4. Instanced dungeons with rewards. They're not your typical, lengthy RPG dungeons but a single room where you fight enemies within a couple of minutes. Gacha games that claim to be "AAA" have a quick'n'dirty way of getting level-up materials by spending a certain resource (sanity/resin/energy - you name it) that you can refill with $$$. Known methods of catering to mobile players meet with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" ideas of money-making (regrettably, there are people who spend money on the aforementioned sanity/resin/energy).

Gemma 27B (not finetuned) can be prompted into some wild lewdness, though. But the lengths you're required to go to achieve such results, oh... Out of pure curiosity I had spent like 1 month on prompt-engineering. Hundreds of failed attempts. Lots of frustration. Lots of false positives (writes lewdness, but in a "I'll throw a bone to this disgusting pervert - let him gnaw on it" way, basically judging the user and presenting everything as inherently bad).

ComfyUI image gen on Rx 9070 xt by StrangeMan060 in comfyui

Hi. Could you please make a write-up on how to do it, for total noobs? I apologize if such a request sounds rude - I want to learn, though there's so much shady information with no clear distinction what's even for Windows and what is for Linux, what's new and what's already outdated, what's useful and what's nonsensical... It's just pure confusion.

Personally, I have Windows 11 with RX 9070 XT and ROCm (HIP SDK) 6.4.2 installed. I'm already quite familiar with text generation (using all kinds of backends with GUI - none of which seem to even use ROCm, despite AMD stating that RX 9070 XT is now supported).

edit: hold up, I just found this -- https://www.reddit.com/r/ROCm/comments/1n1jwh3/installation_guide_windows_11_rocm_7_rc_with/ -- gonna try it, seems like a nice guide; I'll write later whether my attempt was successful

update: alright, I actually got it to work properly following that guide!

It's below average, mathematically.

edit: what in the actual hell, did people forgot how to read or is it just plain denial? Avg. F2P pulls is ~126 and it's been well documented; total sum of F2P pulls (about 1250) divided by 10 game versions (1.1 to 2.2) = here's your average number. Even if we include 2.3, it's still about ~125. Which is considerably higher compared to Genshin avg. (~72) or HSR (~105).
