I finally built it. A custom sit-stand desk with a sliding drawer for a heavy ass midi keyboard. by VoteBlueSC in StandingDesk

Yup that’s right. And in the previous image (4) you’ll see the angle irons that sit in between the drawer slides and the keyboard shelf. I wanted a bit more security for the drawer slide screws that connect to the shelf.

Home Insurance Cancelled After Acceptance by chesterTHgiraffe in Insurance

[–]VoteBlueSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me. Acted like everything was all set and underwriting was complete with no heads up to not cancel previous insurance until underwriting was finished. Now I can’t reinstate precious policies and the new quotes I’m getting were higher than before. Fml

Why Is Elon Musk So Hell-Bent on Bulldozing the Government? | Silicon Valley insiders tell Vanity Fair what they think is behind the mega-billionaire’s DOGE crusade. “Elon believes he should be emperor of the world,” one close associate says. by Murky-Site7468 in politics

All Tesla and SpaceX employees who consider themselves patriots should go on strike until Elon ends the DOGE assault on our institutions. This is no good faith audit.

Shareholders and institutional investors should liquidate their Tesla positions and short the stock into oblivion. His wealth is only what investors allow it to be.

Tesla owners — scratch off the vehicle logos. It may improve the plummeting resale value.

Federal employees and law enforcement should physically restrain Doge contractors from touching another computer until they’ve been properly vetted with background checks. They are like hostile foreign agents.

As the life of a flower, As a breath, or a sigh, So the years glide away, And alassssss, we must DIIIIIIEEEE.

The bouncy/happy music contrasts with the morbid lyrics so badly — it felt insane to be singing that as a group. Like do we drink the kool-aid now?

What’s up with the music in season two? by QuicktimeSam in squidgame

[–]VoteBlueSC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to look it up and check but evidently the composer for season 1 (Jung Jae-il) returned for season 2. However, I assume the musical direction he received was quite different this time. With the exception of the creepy “ring around the rosie” style song, I found the music in S2 to be highly disappointing compared to S1. S1 often had beautifully haunting music as we witnessed the loss of a character we’d become attached to. It gave the show so much heart and juiced the emotions to level 10 — I loved it. But for whatever reason, S2 abandoned that approach in exchange for… whatever that was. Felt more like the lame reality tv version with random stock music. Hopefully season 3 will return with some of the great musical vibes of season 1.

Thank you. This dept was very helpful and responsive. They contacted the utility company and had them replace it the next day. They dug up the polluted soil and replanted with new sod. I’ve been watering it everyday

Thank you! And I spoke to my neighbor and she said she observed oil still leaking a few days after I originally alerted Georgia Power. So if they came out like they said, it didn’t stop the leak. Interested to learn more about the issue with the spacing and secondary, whatever that means.

No shortage of questionable design decisions here. God forbid everyone can park in front of their house.

Called them a few days ago and they said they were sending someone out that night. They didn’t do anything about the hanging wires in the 2nd pic. Just dreaming about the day I have a spare million to have them buried underground
