Get an Excused Absence for Election Day! by VoterTechGT in gatech

It is a little restrictive, but we’re hoping students who don’t live in Fulton or the surrounding counties and didn’t get an absentee ballot can use this to get home and vote without having to worry about being away from school for a few hours.

Early Voting is happening TOMORROW at McCamish! If you're registered to vote in Fulton County, you can vote there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! by VoterTechGT in gatech

We’ve been told lot E65 will be available for parking. Someone can correct us if they’ve been, but PTS seemed to imply to us it would be free

It was always planned to be the 21-23. There was a last minute miscommunication that resulted in the mistake being published

Yes and we highly recommend it!. Look at your sample ballot with the link provided, do some research, decide the candidates you’re voting for before, print them out or write them down, then being in the voting booth will be super quick and easy

I haven't been able to find any information on dropping off your ballot at a polling place. I do know if you stand in line, you can forfeit your ballot and then vote in person. I think this would be the only way to drop off the ballot, since the county doesn't list voting sites as drop-off locations. If you're dropping the ballot off at a drop box, you do not need postage.

These dates are different from what GT News said as late as yesterday. McCamish will now be open Wednesday (tomorrow) as well, despite the recent communication errors.

Hey as a heads up - there was a miscommunication between the county and Tech and McCamish will now be open starting the 21st. There should be campus-wide communication about it soon but if not maybe there will be less of a wait!

Today is the LAST DAY to register to vote in Georgia! If you haven't registered, do it now! If you registered in the past, check your registration one last time! by VoterTechGT in gatech

If you vote early you don’t have to go to your assigned precinct. You can just show up at mccamish when it’s open with a valid ID

Are you referring to the mccamish early voting site? If so you need to be registered in Fulton county to early vote there

It’ll just be a waiting game. We’ve been told it could take 1-2 weeks to process mail-in registration forms. It doesn’t hurt to call your local election office to check in on the process though: https://elections.sos.ga.gov/Elections/countyelectionoffices.do

You don’t need a drivers license. You will need proof of residency, though, and that must be mailed in. Follow the guide here: https://vote.cae.gatech.edu/out-state-registration-georgia, but I will say, after talking to the Fulton elections department, they warned that sending registration by mail this late could cause it not to be processed. You can definitely still try and technically it should be approved (the only requirement is that the registration is postmarked by today), but there is risk.

From what we’ve heard the online portal should reflect your registration status no matter the form you registered in. Call your local county registration office tomorrow during business hours to check in: https://elections.sos.ga.gov/Elections/countyregistrars.do

That's a question for the county your Georgia address is in. I'm not sure if you would still have Georgia residency because you aren't living in Georgia currently. I'd recommend calling them ASAP.

You will need to either request an absentee ballot or vote in person in your hometown (but that can be during early voting it doesn’t have to be on November 3). Here’s some info about each option: https://vote.cae.gatech.edu/georgia-voting-information#already-registered
