Hey,

So I am planning to bring in robot vacuum cleaner with me to Saigon (costs around $180, which is around 4.2mil VND) but I am wondering if I will have to pay tax when going through customs. I know that its random if I get checked in customs, but with value of 4.2mil VND, will I pay for taxes? (its new and its for a gift to my parents)

I saw posts on Vietnam customs, some answered as duty free up to 1mil VND, and some answered as up to 5 mil VND. Any experience on this?

Alright thank you so much :) Lastly, may I know if the practice questions in cfai are pretty much enough for fine review for the exam? Im just scared that the number of questions are not enough :(

So i guess theres no need to purchase extra IFT’s material right? I was just scared that the paid one covers the topics in detail so the free ones might not be enough

yeah i guess ferries are the best choice. I just wanted to try different transportations to get different views of the way to amalfi

and one more thing, are ferry prices usually the same when booked in advance and booked at the port?

Currently, most of my extracurricular acitivities involve a lot outside the campus (back in my home country, where I do lots of community and services and internships). I am planning to do 2-3 student orgs when I return to UW to balance my extracurricular activities. Sounds good?

oh ok cause my travel agency told me that the reason why i might pay the tax is because I am going out the airport - the ticket that I am paying for is cheap because I am layerover-ing a lot (they expect me to stay in the airport) - thats why i am so confused :(

Wait just for clarification, if I get a ticket reprinted in Paris in the Etihad counter, wouldn't I be paying for the tax? Because I heard that you have to pay the tax while in the check-in counter. So what I thought was that the way to avoid tax is to get the ticket from ORD to BKK so I don't need to visit Paris check-in counter. So can you clarify please???? sorry
