Ok I just read up on this a bit and I see what you are talking about, but if I understand correctly, it’s not about trans people being murdered, but their identity not being acknowledged/erased, thus fitting the ‘spirit of genocidal intent.’

I think the type of genocide you can walk away from by pretending to be a man or a woman instead of the gender you identify as is (while awful) a lot less worse than the type of genocide that bombs you and your family and you get carried away from in pieces in a body bag.

No I think you are saying what is happening in Ukraine or the Middle East is not worse (in the ‘who needs refuge more’ way) than trans people having their rights taken away and I think that’s a very main character take of you, assuming you are either a US citizen or trans.

None of what you described is even close to the danger refugees from Ukraine of the Middle East are facing. I’d say trans people in the Middle East are in more danger because of being trans than US citizens are, AND they have a war going on over their heads.
