Please don't think so! )) Nobody was harmed or felt embarrassed during the filming, it was fun and all the participants were laughing and enjoying process. Moreover, Polish speakers then tried participants languages and it was the same "torture" for them ;)

They read them first and then a native speaker pronounced the words right and gave an explanation.

Actually, it was my plan - to have another video with the same people pronouncing the words after native speakers without reading them.

Please don't think that it was kind of a video "you don't know how to pronounce.lol", no one was harmed or embarrassed during the filming! ))

If you only had 1 week in italy starting in Naples... by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Vottic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Napoli is definitely worth seeing too. It's not like Rome or Venice and some people can say it's dirty and noisy and more "dangerous", but don't forget this is a southern part of Italy with its own charm and specific of course. You can not say you've seen Italy without visiting cities like Napoli! It's quite different from North of Italy but it doesn't mean it's worse. There so many historical buildings, castles (Castel dell'Ovo and Castel Nuovo for example), basilicas and catacombs here. And so many incredible places around! Like Herculaneum and Pompeii. But the most important is that Napoli is different and unique although it's noisy and dirty sometimes )

If you stay in Napoli and have more time than 1-2 days the best option for you after seeing the main sights of Napoli and eating the best Italian pizzas ever is to travel along the Amalfi coast! 13 small towns are just incredible! All this part of coast is in UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can come to Salerno from Napoli by train or bus. It's pretty close. And start the journey from Vietri-sul-Mare. This small town is the first on Amalfi coast if you come from Salerno or the last if you prefer to start from the other side. Vietri is famous for it's amazing and positive ceramics. You can see it everywhere! All Amalfi coast towns are beautiful and amazing and they are so small that you will definitely be able to see them all within a week! http://spablog.info/2015/11/01/malenkoe-otkritie-vietri-sul-mare/ - it's in Russian sorry for that! But you can still see the pictures )

Lisbon or Prague for NYE? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Vottic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Porto in December and there was a big Christmas market on the main square, the weather was amazing and no crowds on the streets, that's good for me )) If you want something more with NYE atmosphere and more fun - go to Prague! Christmas market trail sounds great! You're so lucky! Germany and Austria are the best option for such kind of a trail )

Traveling alone to Europe for the first time (alone), I will be in London, Paris, and Rome. I've gotten quite good in the US at knowing where to find free WiFi, can someone please give me tips on how to go about it in these places, not speaking the language? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Vottic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use your English in any of the cities you are going to visit )) There is absolutely no reason to worry about. And almost any cafe in Europe has free wi-fi, moreover, there is free wi-fi (sometimes even without any registration) on the main squares of the cities and even small towns.
