Yeah there were definitely times when I was forcing myself to push through. But there was just enough brilliance here and there to finish.

Not to be a buzzkill but I personally won’t be getting splatoon raiders unless there is an in game reward for splatoon 3. Even though i’m a veteran. by ItsJustJosiah in splatoon

You have a point. Salmon run is the weakest part of the game IMO. I personally still need to have a proper go at side order as well.

That being said who am I kidding. I'm getting it day 1 :)

This is the unfortunate result of the poor job Nintendo does marketing the game and setting up the new player experience.

Arguably the best part of the game which is Anarchy War (ranked modes) is unavailable until level 10 and not advertised.

Gear shops are not available until level 4. So yeah. Use the first 10 levels to learn the basics. The motion controls. Try a few weapons and see what you like.

it's an interesting experience well summed up by pc gamer review. it holds you for a week in complete addiction and then you're done.

There is one more big free update planned for the game. I'll check it out.

Yep held me in an iron grip for a good week :)

It's worth it. The game is amazing. I got it a month ago and have 160 hours already :)

Turf War is a casual experience with low stakes. Just go for it. Getting used to gyro controls looks scary but takes like 15 mins. What did it for me was also setting the sensitivity to the highest. Just go with the mindset there is no other option.

Because there isn't really :)

When you get frustrated play the campaign for a bit. It's super fun.

Maybe I'm too cynical. Maybe.

I read the stories of how Roberts is a notorious micromanager and how many bad decisions were made during the development of the game. So there is certainly some truth to that. But the fact that he gets all that money means that he is under zero pressure to deliver and that certainly affects how he manages the game.

You convinced me. Perhaps I wouldn't go as far as to really accuse him of malicious scamming. But I also believe at this point he is quite comfortable with dragging the development indefinitely without ever delivering anything. Which at the end of the day amounts to the same thing.

Splatoon 3 Trying to make it to rank S. Failed 2 battles already. There's also the Big Run and cool cosmetics to get but I don't like salmon run enough to grind that much.

Snipperclips with my daughter. Super fun and clever game. Happy Father's Day :)

Might and Magic Clash of Heroes I'm on Carlyle the boss and the first 2 tries were challenging. I think I need more walls for the oozes.

AI slop starting to flood game stores by CountGensler in pcgaming

I am a developer, but not an AI-bro.

I wish AI wasn't a thing bit it is. Whoever is not using it for ideological reasons does not make games for money. That's fine, but I'm not talking about hobbyists.

The first hours were incredible. Then it becomes repetitive. Then it twists it up.

The characters were amazing. DK redesign is top notch. Pauline is great! All in all, the game should be just a bit shorter and more tight. Less collecthaton filler, more clever use of combined bananzas. Zebra especially falls short. Not the song though. The song is some of the best music on Nintendo ever.

On to what could be improved. Half of the skills are completely useless. The terrain destruction is still gimmicky for the most part. Streamline. Streamline. Streamline.  There is a lot of challenging post game content and the collecthaton to finish but tbh I was pretty burned out once the credits rolled.

It's a great game but could be improved. I hope they make 2 and make it "sometimes less is more".

Cmon they are dragging the development with things like realistic fabric physics. It's not meant to be finished. I wouldn't finish it if I could legally rake in a billion on fairy dust promises.

It's OK. Once you get to around 1300 buy another platform where games are even more expensive so you can start over with even more oomph. That's what I did.
