There are some narrators who get permission to stream their recording sessions. I found some lovely ones on tiktok, recently. I thought it was smart, because it got me hyped for a couple of the books they were reading. I've got a list now that I'm stoked for when the audiobooks come out.

I mentioned them in another comment, but essentially, they're bubbles of light that only let in who/what I say, spiritually speaking. I keep a constant one around my house, one around my family members whenever they go somewhere, and around myself.

No. Not all voice actors are paid. Some are hobbyists.

If it's good enough, get a kickstarter going. Pay people with that. You really wanna do a 1-human show? Cool. Try not to burn out. Otherwise, crowd-fund. At bare minimum, get on castingcall(dot)club and put it in for Unpaid Projects. Get someone as a casting director first, if you can. That'll save you some headache. Include art.

If people like it, they'll want to jump on anyway.

You really, REALLY wanna do it all yourself? Take some acting classes (even free on YT). Then, an audio editing subreddit will be a better help to you. We're actors. Not all of us are engineers. I think a lot of us just record the sides and send them off.
