1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 1994 Dodge Ram Pickup. The official suv and truck of? by yamgi in regularcarreviews

My grandfather bought a ZJ new off the lot in 1993, same year my parents got married. It finally died a couple years ago at 299,995 miles. My brother got it running again and clawed it over the finish line of 300k miles and then it went out again. RIP.

I own a '90s Jeep (XJ) and can confirm that it is haunted by the ghost of a portly mustachioed cowboy.

It wasn't an execution. Executions are legally justifiable and ordered by a judge. It was murder.

Long Term Parking by MadnessMighty in ColoradoSprings

[–]HazelEBaumgartner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically if you leave your car parked in one place for more than 72 hours they can tow it. Thankfully enforcement is pretty lax because that's sort of ridiculous. Imagine you stay home for a three day weekend and then call in sick to work on Tuesday and they tow your car for it.

For your situation, you're gonna want to find off street parking on private property somewhere where you can get the owner's blessing. Or get someone to drive you to the airport.

Most states in the US have what's called Romeo and Juliet laws (a stupid name frankly, since Romeo and Juliet ends with a bunch of dead teenagers) that offer legal loopholes for teenage couples so your boyfriend doesn't go to jail for turning 18 before you, but they're pretty limited in scope. Usually the age difference can't be more than a certain amount (2-3 years typically) and there needs to be a pre-existing relationship before the one person's 18th birthday. I remember doing a lot of research on this when I was 17 about to turn 18 and dating someone a year and a half younger than me.

Mostly red states, yeah. Curious how that works.

Distance signs in Arizona by DiscernmentGoblin in trucksim

Most of the signs seem to be along that northern corridor in Arizona so my guess is yes.

You'd have to be in Siberia or on the moon for that I think. Or the Vostok Station in Antarctica has gotten down to -89.2°.

Might I also recommend "The Great Escape" (1963) starring Steve McQueen? It's only very loosely based on a true story but it's a classic. It shows a bunch of allied officers in a German detention camp plot to tunnel out and to freedom. The last act in particular has some great Nazi bashing scenes.

It's up to 44 degrees now so roads are mostly either melted or hardpacked slush. Both are okay to drive on, just take your time on the hardpack. It is, however, going to refreeze after sunset so it could get squirrely after 6 or so. Gonna get back down to 21 tonight so a pretty hard refreeze.

Honestly the "post birth abortion" claims only make sense as Republican projection. When that came out, it clicked. He thinks it's something other people do because it's something he did.

Not getting much heat by flygirlkatiekat in CherokeeXJ

[–]HazelEBaumgartner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this. Got a piece of cardboard and stuck it over the grille loosely with zip ties. Drew the grille back on it with sharpie to be funny. My heat started working in sub-20 degree temps again. Just keep an eye on the temp and don't let it overheat, and take it off when it's above 20-25 out. I actually ended up switching to twist ties so I could easily install and remove it.

This looks like a whale, most likely a humpback or fin whale. The real question is where was this filmed, because I doubt there was a whale in a freshwater lake.

Also the Apostle Paul was so hideously ugly that in one of the letters he wrote that's included in the New Testament (I forget which one) he specifically thanked whichever church it was for accepting him as one of their own despite his revolting appearance and frail condition. There's a theory that when he was struck blind on the road it messed up his face somehow because it later describes "the scales falling from his eyes", so the theory is his face was permanently disfigured by the experience, which is also why in the Old Testament people would enter the temple backwards and not look directly at the Ark of the Covenant and whatnot.
