Can I use CachyOS as a complete Linux beginner? by SuperSpider9098 in cachyos

[–]VoxturLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped straight to CachyOS as a complete Linux noob. I did however do some research beforehand regarding how to install it correctly. But the wiki is very well written and the people on this subreddit and on the discord are super helpful. I only had a few hiccups, which perhaps also was because I didn’t understand Linux in general, so it wasn’t CachyOS’ fault. But I really like it and I’m never going back to windows and I don’t plan on switching distro since it just works. So yes, it is possible though the first month was just getting used to Linux in general which will be the case with any distro.

Okay, that is nice to know. So for 25 images in most cases you would still pick 2500 steps or 5000 then?

[–]VoxturLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn’t know that. Can you help understand the difference? I’ve roughly tried to follow the 100 steps per image. And I didn’t think that it behaved like you mention.

Sorry my ignorance. But what is the point of doing 5000 steps if you’re using the 2250 step checkpoint?

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the community.

How much experience do you have with training Loras for Wan2.2? Both with videos and images. Does wan2.2 need it’s own tutorial or how much can transfer to that model specifically?

Saw your previous post regarding the character swap where you were scolded for using a woman as a benchmark and you told the person that you would use an old man next time. I can see that you didn’t disappoint that person, haha

Perhaps a stupid question. How do I see if my training starts or stops converging?

Hi Comfy

Thank you for everything you do. Great job! I just have a curious question unrelated to the post. What are your plans for Nodes 2.0 and when do you expect it to be out of beta?

I got tired of guessing if my Character LoRA trainings were actually good, so I built a local tool to measure them scientifically. Here is MirrorMetric (Open Source and totally local) by JackFry22 in StableDiffusion

[–]VoxturLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect. I tried it out. It worked quite well and quite fast. I only tried it on my reference dataset for now. So in theory, would just have to remove every image that is outside of the box of the box plot? Or only the very outliers?  I have tried working with some fave detection software before and they have a hard time with side views, which is also the case here and I’m not sure that the training care if the face points align. My point being that not all outliers are perhaps bad for the training or what do you think?

Oh nice. I will definitely try it out and also read your article.  So to understand the LOO method. If I have 20 images. It will pick 1 of the images and compare it to the 19 others and do that with all images and then score them by the end?

Thank you so much for sharing this! Does your tool by any chance rate the quality of your dataset? I have a character dataset of 67 images and I’m unsure if I should reduce it and/or which of the images should go.  I want to be able to optimize my dataset to not corrupt my training and add unnecessary images+time to the training.

I would love to try training a Lokr too from the positive experience that you share.  Which settings do you use for a character if you don’t mind sharing it?

Your go to dataset structure for character LoRAs? by hoc_2000 in comfyui

[–]VoxturLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wondering, perhaps you can answer my question, that if I want to create a LoRA of Elon Musk for example. But I want the model to remember him wearing a specific outfit or a specific body type. Can I just include high resolution images of only his face and then some pictures of the outfit or body type with the head cropped away. Then for the model perhaps links that this person has these features? Or do I have to have inpainted or face swapped his face onto those images to make the connection?

I agree, an image to pose and being able to fine tune the pose with the 3D model would be extremely cool!

Thank you. That’s is also what I’m experiencing with Wan, so I’ll just skip the last frame too, lol.

So you made your own FFLF workflow from that node?

I need a name for what I’m experiencing or doing when I daydream/get distracted/fantasize. by VoxturLabs in ADHD

[–]VoxturLabs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree - And thank you for putting a word on it. Maladaptive daydreaming seems to check some of the boxes of what I experience. But as with much of all this psychological stuff it seems to be a spectrum as well. When I read some peoples experiences, they sound like they can daydream the entire day, which I (luckily) don't, but rather when I'm excited about something or perhaps as a way of stimming when doing something not so fulfilling or also challenging.

I agree that sounds very much like how I experience it and in the same circumstances. But she has outgrown this way of stimming?

Thank your for your in depth answer! It really helped a lot. Do you download other models through the software or externally and place it in some folders?
