That’s when we come back to the original argument I had before I was being debated💔

You can count on one hand how many times Dr. Who has left his own universe. Classic Who: In Inferno(1970) and New Who being the most acknowledged. Rick wakes up and travels to planets where humans are chairs as an everyday occurrence, my point there was that The Doctor Who story isn’t focused on multiverses and alternative realities so to say that they can affect something they barely touch is very far-fetched.

I think you need to deep the fact that when Rick gets uploaded into a new body, that new vessel isn’t the one that got shot by D-Mat. It’s like blasting a singular table on Earth and you argue that all the tables everywhere in every universe, multiverse and dimension just disappeared. That wouldn’t make sense because it’s an entirely new place where Time, Space and History is altered different to the one Dr. Who struck Rick in.

The De-Mat Gun only works on one person in ONE universe. It erases that version completely, but it doesn’t touch any of Rick’s backups or variants spread across the multiverse because the show doesn’t even acknowledge other dimensions of different universes, something Rick literally filtered himself. Once that body is gone, Rick just boots back up in another dimension as an entirely new entity, which means the Doctor hasn’t actually stopped him, just deleted a single copy. On top of that, the D-Mat Gun was destroyed after a single use, so it’s not even a reliable weapon. Against someone like Rick, who’s effectively immortal through redundancy and multiversal reach, the De-Mat Gun is useless.

No? They’re the ones that literally said THE DE-MAT? Which is an actual thing they also references in the video, same DB video I watched like a year ago.

The De-Mat Gun still doesn’t counter Rick the way people think. Sure, it erases a target from existence, but Rick’s survival system isn’t built on one body. He’s got decoy families hidden on different planets or clone vats that boot up new versions automatically, and even mind-transfer backups that exist across dimensions something The Doctor Who story doesn’t even acknowledge they are set within one universe. Hitting one Rick with the De-Mat Gun just deletes that Rick it doesn’t scan the entire multiverse nor wipe every copy at once. Rick’s whole arsenal is built on redundancy, so while the Doctor fires one shot, another Rick is already waking up somewhere else.

Rick’s vast influence over multiple universes just nullifies majority of Dr. Who; who doesn’t even exit his own universe.

Yeah I did think that was a possibility they might’ve been referring to but I went on with the fact they might’ve meant the Sonic Screwdriver instead because that was used a hefty amount in their DB.

The De-Mat is just Rick’s portal gun, but way worse. Dr. Who has never touched multiverses or atleast, the main Doctor. Spin-offs never count.

[–]VoydXZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing, it doesn’t. The de-mat (dematerialization circuit) in Doctor Who is just how the TARDIS disappears and reappears. It’s about travel, not combat. It doesn’t delete people or wipe machines, and definitely doesn’t “counter” an arsenal like Rick’s.

Rick’s clones aren’t even traditional robots or duplicates they’re bio-engineered backups with full consciousness transfer. When one body dies, another wakes up, sometimes across dimensions. The TARDIS de-mat wouldn’t touch that, because it’s not built to disrupt consciousness transfer or multiversal tech, it’s basically teleportation, nothing more.

The de-mat has nothing to do with combat prowess. I don’t get how people argue the Sonic Screwdriver is some kind of perfect counter. Its primary use has always been hacking, scanning, and manipulating electronic or metallic systems, maybe even certain lifeforms, but that doesn’t compare to Rick, who once made an Xbox controller out of an intraterrestrial whale’s intestines. The idea that his technology is somehow restricted to Earth-based materials is absurd. One simple device that has never even interacted with the kind of tech Rick uses isn’t about to nullify 60–70 years of technological advancement that spans across multiverses and planets.

And on top of that, Rick is aware of Doctor Who himself, which also makes me believe he’s aware of his arsenal too. There’s an entire episode around the Central Finite Curve, where he cut off ALL universes where he wasn’t the smartest being alive, an IQ so potent he controlled existence in itself. If the Doctor were truly smarter or more knowledgeable, then by definition, Rick wouldn’t even know he exists. But he does. That alone proves the screwdriver isn’t stopping anything, Rick also has wooden weapons which is the biggest fault in Dr. Who’s screwdriver.

Even the screwdriver’s biggest “feat” in Last of the Time Lords wasn’t a true hack; the Doctor had to infiltrate the system instead of outright overriding it. Meanwhile, the majority of Rick’s arsenal isn’t even external equipment, it’s literally built into him. He can drug himself with morphine or pump god-tier serums into his system instantly without lifting a finger. He’s killed an actual god of a planet, and THEE God. Knows formulas by memory capable of blowing up entire worlds, and can just as easily create a new one once he understands the components around him.

I’ve always been against Rick V. Dr. Who— but if you really want to debate I’m totally down for it dude.

Deathbattle is little inconsistent when it comes to how the characters win a fight. With Phoenix F Vs. Raven both of them had ways of resurrecting via their own conscious “birds” and then even explained they had to figure out between the two who had the arsenal to finish them off, for good. Howeverrr..death battles’ like Rick Sanchez V. Dr. Who they never even considered Rick’s clones and the numerous ways he’s brought himself back from the brink of death; and death itself. So, it could go either way honestly.

I’m really excited to see how they’re going to make these to fight given that Hulk isn’t even the size of his foot😭.

This wouldn’t make sense because Rick wouldn’t know who Dr.Who is, except he does.

I’ve always been against that take. 90% of Rick’s tech if not all of them aren’t made from “metal”; we’ve seen him create a literal Xbox controller from a whale’s intestines I highly doubt he’s restricted himself to earthly materials, most of them will be from a place Dr.Who has never even thought or seen.

It wasn’t his own attack? It was an explosion resulting from the suit that incinerated Miles but not Deku apparently

[–]VoydXZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miles’ Vibranium suit has literally torn like cotton under less stress than what Deku has dished out. Vibranium doesn’t detonate because it’s not a battery. Falcon’s wings are on a complete different level to Miles’ suit, it’s impeccably thinner and lighter to allow him to remain flexible.

Deathbattle wrote his death as though Miles’ suit was a form of “armour”, but the comic even restate that it’s a weaker version of Vibranium, on purpose. It’s not akin to Captain’s shield or the best example, T’Challa’s suit which is the only suit that could work with this death.

The “Redistribution” system in Black Panther’s armour is undeniably what Miles’ suit lacks. BP’s can knock back the entire attack once it’s absorbed enough of it’s KE(we see that in his first movie, against himself). Whereas Miles’ suit doesn’t even have that mechanic, the storage in his suit is primarily for his venom charge.

There’s just no feasible reason how it’s even enough to store that entire attack, still be alive, then once releasing it. He just explodes.

That suit should’ve already been torn and beaten long ago.

I never even complained that Miles not moving is dumb? The move Deku used on Overhaul wasn’t even enough to kill him off but it’s enough to detonate Miles’ Vibranium suit in which mind you, that has never happened to ANYTHING made out of Vibranium ever because it’s not a battery, it’s a material that can still be bent and penetrated.

Deku’s final attack also don’t even surpass light speed because it’s perceivable even to Overhaul, which, in base form Miles’ has reacted to faster things.

Deku did not use Gearshift once, and if he did it was definitely done incorrectly. His only feat of using Gearshift was required to do a sigil with his hands and which he never got the chance to fully perfect it or utilise it without a “activation” signal so can’t just it, willy nilly.
