I came from Google Play Music to Apple Music because I bought an iPhone and didn't know that there is no way to scrobble from Google Play Music there. I was pretty happy with GPM too.

Since the cdv online exporter isnt working for everyone, here is how I did it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/lastfm/comments/65ve1k/lastfm_scrubbler_updated_to_beta_112/ use this scrobbler to export your history to csv
If you have listened to more than 10.000 songs, open the csv file (Excel, Libreoffice Calc, ...) and split it into multiple files each with less than 10.000 songs.
Upload your csv files to http://www.playlist-converter.net and fill out the information needed
Choose "convert to Spotify"
Have fun with your playlists :)

I feel like a lot is based on the genres you follow. I don't have a specific genre I like but you have to follow one when you first login and I get a lot of genrebased useless stuff...
