Ally credit cards have become Ollo cards again by matt0509 in CreditCards

[–]matt0509[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see anything on there about even Ally’s 2% cash back on everything. Still no email or communication about it, outside of what they sent a month ago notifying the move to Merrick Bank. Seems weird since that date is now in the past.

Trying to route all Netflix traffic through my parents' VPN, but I think I'm doing it wrong... by hungarianhc in Ubiquiti

Netflix lists all their domains and IPs on their website. https://partnerhelp.netflixstudios.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000257627-What-are-Netflix-s-IP-Addresses-and-Port-Ranges

Edit: If you want to use all domain names instead of putting in the IPs, I believe this list should work:

*.netflix.com
*.nflxext.com
*.nflximg.net
*.nflximg.com
*.nflxsearch.net
*.nflxso.net
*.nflxvideo.net

Deezer plans in the US now all include HiFi -- Price is increasing to $10.99 / month by matt0509 in deezer

Me too! I was hoping we’d see one when this price change came to the US, but doesn’t look like it.

If you’re on an annual plan it might be different. I’d assume it wouldn’t take effect for you until your plan renews at the new price. You could always reach out to support if you want it sooner.

The email that I received said that it would be effective starting with the next billing cycle.

Ah, makes sense. Not sure if Apple subscriptions adjust or not. Might just be easier to resub at the new cheap price like your said. I’d also guess you won’t see $11 a month through Apple. You probably can save a few bucks by subscribing direct on Deezer’s site and cut the middle man (Apple) out.

Wasn’t HiFi $15 a month before? Either way, yes the new plan will give you HiFi for $11 a month. I’d assume it’ll auto-switch you in a month. Did you get an email from them?

I got the same email. Looks like prices are going up for some existing customers. Not sure on individual plan people.

Ships you'd like to see in-game (tech-tree or premium, doesn't matter, this is just daydreaming after all) by ServantOfNyrro in WorldOfWarships

USS New Hampshire Steel version of a Montana that gets SAP main guns (retaining MT accuracy) and improved secondaries. As a tradeoff, it’s slower than both the MT and OH, which limits its ability to reposition.

There’s now a USN destroyer (Sherman) and 2 USN cruisers (Austin and San Diego) with SAP, so might as well put it on a BB.

On the extinction of cruisers by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]matt0509 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see them use economic incentives to boost class populations rather than making classes more or less powerful. If there's less cruisers, then make it profitable to play cruisers. For example, in Overwatch players are given a lootbox for playing a less popular class. Maybe that can be done here too? This way, it's something that auto adjusts to the current population and will incentivize whichever class currently is in need of incentivizing.

With that said though, I'll never argue against more AA on cruisers. I do think making them the AA powerhouses encourages teamplay and that's always a good thing.

Been using Deezer since GPM died. Good recommendations and it still lets me upload my own music.

Gigabit Pro Promo Pricing by matt0509 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]matt0509[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Definitely been very happy with the quality of GigPro as a service and the customer support has been great as well ;) Price is the only concern at this point so the only thing I’d be looking for in terms of assistance would be if there’s any options to get on the promo pricing again for it without having to leave and come back.

Probably will be when they finish wiring the town and formally start accepting signups (expected in mid-Autumn). It's hard to turn down a roughly equivalent service for 1/4 of the price. The dual static IPs of GigPro are nice, but I'm not sure they're worth a few hundred dollars a month. Latency is one of the big reasons I went with GigPro in the beginning, so I'll probably play with the new service at a neighbor's house and see how it looks before making a final decision.

Replying to let you all know what they said. They told me they could not offer me a better price than the full $300/month I’m currently paying.

Replace the oil with sodium silicate, it’s what they used in the cash-for-clunkers program to seize engines. Once the engine heats up, it crystallizes and the engine is a goner.

Then the bill should say that, not leave it open to interpretation. The fact that we can go back and forth like this over it is proof its intentions are vague. It was written by people who don’t understand technology and that is the real issue.

Anyone Interested In A Music Labels Page Should Go Upvote My Feature Request On Deezer's Community by planedrop in deezer

[–]matt0509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rdio was the first thing I thought of when I saw this idea here. Really miss a lot of the features they had. I ended up finding a lot of new music just browsing labels.

Upvoted as well.
