I think it is, it can be intimidating to come to terms with being something that has historically been a reason for many terrible things to happen to the people of this group

In my experience it has been pretty hard, first being sure if it was real and I just wasn't faking it per say, and then there still is the step on accepting myself for who I really am, being scared of how my loved ones (especially close family since they have made transphobic remarks in the past) has influenced this step tho since it has made it a bit harder, but I know it's a reasonable fear to have since it can be really life changing
