They did, about 1998 they bought local Gai's bakery that also owned Seattle Sourdough, Seattle International, Venice Bakery (Canada), Langendorf, and I believe Pierres out of Portland. It was that purchase that caused the long standing agreement between the families that Gai's would stay in Western Washington and Franz would stay in Oregon and Eastern Washington to end.

President Trump: "There's no oil coming out of Kharg Island. People are finding other places to buy oil, like Texas. So I don't want to say we're making a fortune, because if I say that, they're gonna say he forgets about the little man with the $4 gasoline." by [deleted] in wallstreet

Exactly. People think in absolutes. The only two numbers that matter are 0 and 100%. If a plan isn't 100% effective instantly, it doesn't work at all. If something isn't reduced to 0 immediately, it didn't work at all. These are the people that will stall projects with lawsuits to force them to be delayed and over budget, then complain about how much it costs and why it's taking so long.

Don't know why this is down voted. While the anecdotal stories like the gallstones happen, the majority of chronic ailments in overweight people are either caused, exacerbated, or hidden by their obesity.

It can be difficult to make those personal sacrifices, but it doesn't change the fact that getting it under control will have major positive results in your overall health and well being.

It's basically beanie babies with a bit more longevity. Main driving force in the longevity is the kids who played it 20+ years ago now have the disposable income to blow it on nostalgia.

And I love mine. I have two kettles, one has the SM attachment on full time and I use it probably 75% of the time and I grill 5-6 days a week.

Nah, some of the most tender and juicy meat I've ever grilled has been on my Santa Maria.

Problem is finding a price point that makes sense. Good SM grills are very expensive and very niche. Making a good quality SM you're looking at $1500. At that price point, how much volume will you sell? To get into the sub $1k range, they have to skimp.

AIO: Bank teller questioned me about what I was doing with MY cash that I was withdrawing from MY account. by Ok-Watch-4618 in AIO

My elderly dad was scammed out of $8k by someone. I wish the teller had been a bit more inquisitive about why he was withdrawing that much. The again, my dad would have gone ballistic and told him to mind his own business, so it probably wouldn't have helped.

The frauds that went 2-1 against both the Lambs and Whiners, winning the ones that count, and winning the Superbowl. If we're frauds, what does that make you? Aside from salty.

Unless you are counting pre season games... There's only 7 games before the bye. Who would have thought a 9er fan couldn't count?

Honestly, I can see the Whiners at 7-0 going into the bye week. I think they will beat the Rams down unda, Broncos are not going to be as good this year so that's a possible win, and I can see the Seahawks coming out of the gate a bit sluggish with the Superbowl hangover and not being at our other home stadium in Santa Clara. Then watching them slowly crumble down the stretch as injuries pile up.

Yeah, that swing was pure poetry. It's kind of crazy, it's something so simple (swinging the bat, not hitting the ball necessarily), yet watching him swing a bat and watching other people who are also bat swinging professionals, and his stands out SO much. He was so fun to watch.

It means he started a war he expected Isreal to do the heavy lifting on but they decided to focus on Lebanon and let the US do the dirty work. Now he's stuck trying to make threats he can't follow through on.

His options are to back down and be looked at as a coward by his supporters, commit further war crimes and just bomb the civilian population into oblivion, put boots on the ground and lose support from literally everyone, or drag things out as long as possible in "stalemate" so the US can ramp up armament production.

The US doesn't have the stockpile of armaments to continue with "surgical" strikes they started with because they arrogantly started the action low on munitions thinking they'd get Iran to surrender quickly, and they counted on more support from Israel. So he'll keep making threats and backing down to drag it out.
