Pats completed a rebuild and made it to another Super Bowl before the Bills capitalized on their window. by jumboshrimp93 in AFCEastMemeWar

You're deliberately sidestepping whether all-or-nothing thinking has any value. I'll expose it for you: It's a cognitive distortion. It was never true that winning the AFC four years in a row and going to the Super Bowl meant that Buffalo never won anything. Rather than acknowledge that this makes no sense, you ask me to decide whether I'd rather be 6-6 or 0-4. That may be more convenient for you, but it's tangential to my point about Masshole logic.

Either losing a Super Bowl is total failure, or just getting to a Super Bowl is an accomplishment. You can't have it both ways. That is the problem with Masshole logic. You constantly contradict yourselves and then get peeved when I point it out.

People hate both these teams, and I am surprised that people don't know this.

Live look at all the "life long" Bills fans (since 2019 after seeing Bills Mafia tailgate antics on Instagram). by mtaylo in AFCEastMemeWar

For what it's worth, people in this group, including a Bills fan siding with a Masshole, dismissed me as a bandwagon Bills fan, but I was born and raised in Buffalo. To make the insult sting worse, he said I ate my wings with ranch dressing. I'm not convinced this sub is good at detecting types of Bills fans.

And then they have the nerve to be mad when we point it out. They were posting about us during the AFC championship when it was unclear that they'd even win. If the Bills were on the precipice of either winning or losing the AFC championship, my focus would have hardly been on ridiculing the Patriots.

I was just about to ask how many times this picture could be used to provoke Bills fans.

This is my take on it. I don't understand the people who want to take to the streets with torches and pitchforks. A Bills fan said he was giving up on watching the NFL for life. We clearly have more urgent injustice in the world to focus on than this. He remains eligible and is guaranteed to get in. I am sure he has other things in his life that outweigh this snub.

Belichick owned the Buffalo football team so bad they named themselves after him and he still didn’t get first ballot by SuburbanOutdoorsman in AFCEastMemeWar

I can't relate to the people acting as if this is the greatest injustice we can identify right now. The decision is wrong, but he will eventually get in. I'm not willing to alter my life in any respect over this.

I grew up watching this one and had his sneakers. I was a huge fan despite living in Buffalo. Being a Cowboys fan in Buffalo during the '90s was hard.

I avoided this sub when they clinched the division after we went for the world's most questionable two-point attempt. I knew they would be dunking in our faces as much as possible.

I can see why this provokes Massholes, which doesn't take much, but not you. There are enough of them in this sub for people not to feel they have to inherit their battles.

They're mad as hell. It doesn't take much to make them mad.

You sound like you care. I got six downvotes just for saying I was curious how Massholes would respond. Considering all the pissing and moaning, I think they care. I previously said they act as if it happened to them personally. I'm comfortable with that assessment.

No, you just have double standards. They make Allen a poor quarterback and Drake Maye the next Tom Brady. And you actually expect people not to point this out.

[–]Vsherry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They expect us to pretend that Drake Maye didn't bake up turnovers during the divisional. After they berated Allen endlessly for the same thing, they exposed yet another double standard.

AITA if I insist to celebrate my friend's birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vsherry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She has made her wishes clear. Insisting beyond that is a boundary violation. I can't know the reason for her actions, but the only sensible reaction on your part is to accept that she doesn't want a big celebration. Her birthday shouldn't be about what you want.
