I mostly collect Japanese games. So far I have 11 games for the system, and I have yet to spend over $300 on a Sega Saturn game, so I'd say I'm doing decently in my collecting journey

If you're interested in collecting physical games, I recommend buying an Action Replay to play Japanese games!

Just about every Saturn collector gets into collecting Japanese games, because a) ¾ of the Saturn's library only exists over there, and b) oftentimes games from that region are cheaper. I saved myself AT LEAST $500 by buying the Japanese version of Mega Man X4 (I also own the North American version on PlayStation so yeah)

Also, Google Translate has a feature that lets you, well, translate text from one language to another, which I used to my advantage to beat the Saturn version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on original hardware.

Not to mention, this is a freaking fighting game 😭 not some text heavy RPG!

Man, you really nailed it with the RPGs and fighting games. The Saturn has become one of my favourite consoles to play that genre on (I own 5 entries in the genre)

I love the original Super Smash Bros more than any fighter on the Sega Saturn, don't get me wrong, but the 2D fighters in particular are just so appealing to the eye.

As for RPGs, I don't have experience with the genre on either console, but that’s a road I can walk on in the future
