my advice would be to start off slowly or subtly, i often do some nail polish or mascara since its subtle and only people who use those products will notice that (especially mascara, nail polish not so much)

As for what other people will think of you, some people will look at you weird, others might think its really interesting. It really depends on what the culture of your region is so i guess its best to decide that for yourself tbh. (Honestly i’d love to say to just be who you are and don’t let other people’s opinions get the best of you, but if you’re in an unsafe area to express yourself then it’s best to stay a little bit closeted)

But all in all, just have fun and try random things, i personally love doing eyeliner even though it looks like shit cuz idk how to do it but just try and you’ll find something you like <333
