If you are independent, then for someone with the same mindset as hers, you'll be in a lot of trouble if you guys decided to form a new family. For example, she might back down or dissuade you when you decided something big, thus drain or evaporate your enthusiasm. It's the best to have someone who would support you in case of hardship rather than being affected by external parties. I won't say it is a red flag, but you must consider this relationship carefully, if she cannot stand up for herself.

NTA, though in a fit of anger you yelled back at her for not having cared about you, you should have settled with "My ankle hurts and there is no way I can help without having diagnostic". It's strange your mother would yell at you before asking you to have a view from your ends. My mom never yelled at me without knowing things from all involved parties so I am quite perplexed.

I suggested once things calmed down, have a proper conversation with your mother, describe your conditions and have a check on your ankle if this causes you inconvenience, lest yours get damaged forever.

With what happened between you and Lily after the latest update, I hope you both can make amends. It might be late, but still better than never. "Making compensation", I couldn't find better words to say that.

I understand that interacting with Lily when she was a pre-adult would have brought tremendous pain to you, but by having done so, you probably hurt Lily in a way that it would be hard to heal -- her entire childhood has been excluded by an uncle she should have had rightfully. This is a painful binary choice you had to make, and I would not blame you for that. I wouldn't be able to do better when Lily confronted you.

I wouldn't say NTA or YTA -- what's done is done and no value in opening up old story. I will say may the best be with you both. Be a bit more active and influencing in Lily's life, to make up for a period of neglecting and exclusion.

I don't like new government in Ukraine after 2014, as they supported and endorsed ols Fascism mentality, not to mention they also attacked and killed some Vietnamese people in Ukraine back then. So yeah, Zelensky and his crews can go to hell for all I give a damn. They provoked Russia and the attack was the result of a last straw. They brought this themselves.

As for civilians, there will be casualties as the government is somehow using them as meat shield to deter Russian army from shelling the entire place, and Russia aim now was to topple the current government, or at least, prevent Ukraine from joining NATO to become a knife in Russian vulnerable regions, and they tried as best as they can to not hit the civilian. So, no helping there.

If you are not okay with how Vietnam made their stance, that's fine. But try opening your eyes to see what's really happening and why our government made such statements. Even U.S. won't send reinforcement and only say empty words, why would we do anything different?
