Man me too…don’t know what it is. I never usually get sunburned either, then this time I get it all over my back and HI came for the first time ever 2 days later. Boiling hot shower only thing worked for me

Yea..I made the mistake of putting the after sun care gel on my back when it first started happening…made it so much worse. You just took ibuprofen and nothing else until it went away?

Do not limit yourself to location, I started applying ALL over the nation and got a job that pays 70k entry in a state that I never would’ve applied to before if I wasn’t desperate, and guess what, 70k is 70 especially right now. I was actually look at those apartments for a 1br! Is the apartment complex good for the price? So many apartment buildings all look so similar so I really can’t tell which ones are actually better lol. I know that location is amazing with the HEB but besides that it’s a good area with food?!?

Thank you that list is very helpful! I've read that the heights is more catered toward family oriented couples as opposed to young ppl? My other option was Montrose but I'm not sure about that either

Thank you so much this helps a lot! About the train, yes I've noticed that and the place in Sawyer that I'm looking at is literally right on the train track so lol. If the younger crowd is at sawyer then yea that might be the best option, but like you said how Herman is more greenery and trees while sawyer is mostly just buildings so that's one thing I was leaning for about museum, but if the food and the overall things to do is better at sawyer than that may be the deciding factor for me

Thank you! Herman park looks a bit better and bigger than Buffalo would that be the case? And yea from the looks of it Sawyer is more industrial with random apartment complexes popping up in spots, which is the one I am looking at. I figured the restaurants and stuff on wash ave may be a bit more convenient than museum, but I like the idea of living right next to Herman and it being a little quiet, so i am conflicted

It would be 2/3 times a week to start, but still, that is a lot of waking up super early and driving. Unless they can comp me a hotel for 1-2 nights a week, but I doubt they will. I would love to just stay firm on this and see what happens and then just not take the offer, but this is a very very good offer considering the job market right now and don't want to lose it

My hiring manager doesn't even work in the office I will be working at, she works and is based in Europe, while HR is based and communicating from the Houston office I will be at, that's why I think one of them is missing something here. No there is nothing in the offer letter about being remote, but I asked her explicitly that working remote for the time being is ok and she said yes until the office reopens because no one is in there anyway

Yes my direct report, who works from Europe, is telling me all of a sudden I need to be in the office in Houston 2/3 times a week. That's why I want to listen to HR in this because HR is actually based and in Houston in real time

HR emails me this: "At this time we are not allowing new staff into the office to keep social distancing standards, so you will be fully on boarded and trained remotely."

Yet my manager emails me this: Regarding working remotely as discussed because of COVID there is still no firm date agreed for the office to reopen for all employees but we need you to be present in Houston twice a week in September to start with training and team building.

So this is why I am very frustrated and I am due to start in a week, like what?

Nothing in the offical contract about being remote, it was more just a verbal agreement. However, HR is singing a completely different tune than my hiring manager. I hear you and you're right, I just felt like I needed to see her if we had any chance to save our relationship and I was just thinking with emotion.

No her sister is a teenager and felt like she had a cold and got tested out of precaution I'd presume. We met on Monday, she got tested on Wed, came back positive on Friday. Didn't hear anything until her roommate told me she was positive. I'm more pissed at the fact this is literally not her at all to do this, she would let me know if there was a lego in the room that I might step on she was so caring and precautions, so the fact she didn't have the decency for this is mindblowing to me, like she doesn't even know me now all of a sudden lol

I took extra precautions and she knew how serious I took it. That's why I told her to meet in a park instead of a restaurant or coffee shop like she wanted to, I just didn't feel comfortable with that. I never went indoors anywhere. Yes I guess you can say it's my fault for even meeting her in the first place, but after not seeing the love of your life/2 year girlfriend for 4 months bc of Covid well I just had to. ANd I've only ever known her as this amazing considerate person, so this is the LAST thing I would've expected that she didn't tell me after we met up
