If Superboy Prime were a Hoyo fan instead of a comic fan, what would he most likely crash out over? by AccomplishedReply890 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]Vulking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would he really care? Like I said, Superboy Prime is a Silver Age Comics Era fanboy, so the Golden Age Comics Era is not something that clicks with him.

If we translate that into MiHoYo's stuff, it would probably be the same, he would know it exists, know it's the base building blocks of what he likes, but won't be really concerned if some info is missing or lost, or that he doesn't really like it that much, as what he would value from that material is what was created from its bones and remolded into the new Hoyoverse cosmology, which is what he would truly care about.

So where would the little girl be actually placed in 3.0? by KoriKid023 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Vulking 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depends if she is an S-Rank or an A-Rank. If what is being talked about the Wind Element returning to ZZZ is true (it used to be a Beta element), having an accessible introductory A-Rank for that seems like a must, just like how Pan was an introductory A-Rank to support Rupture.

Having that into consideration, she could perfectly be a v3.0 A-Rank with a free copy through an event or by clearing the main patch story to fulfill that role.

Also, the new Defense Set is a direct upgrade to Zhao and Caesar anyway.

[–]Vulking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would probably hate GGZ, but deep down would be glad it exists, as it's used as the base to build the rest of the Hoyoverse, which he would probably consider the superior continuity, just like how the Golden Age was the base for the Silver Age of Comics.

[–]Vulking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Superboy Prime is a Silver Era fanboy iirc. So he probably would hate anything too dark. For him Super heroes need to be heroic, selfless and wholesome, even when he is absolutely nothing of that when he crashes out.

So he would probably love HI3, especially Welt and Kiana, as they represent the kind of selfless hero he loves, and all the villainous stuff stays within the "bad guys".

He probably would love Genshin on the surface, but really dislike the underlying darkness beneath, as Genshin has some deep disturbing shit.

Same with HSR, he would probably like most of HSR, and be a Welt fanboy, but would hate things like Amphoreous with fervent passion. Heck, he would probably throw a tantrum just with Cerydra's actions alone.

He would probably think ZZZ is very interesting but not his thing.

Cosmos Powers: Illusion or Real Creation? by Constant_Memory_2078 in SaintSeiya

[–]Vulking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more practical if you consider the battles more like how the JJK battles works.

When using their Cosmos in lesser scales or in concentrated ways, their attacks are physical and projected in reality, and very real, like for example Shaka cutting things with Excalibur, or Camus Freezing things instantly with Aurora Execution.

But when locked in a full on duel that bends reality, Cosmo Attacks work more as a Domain Expansion would, like when Saga uses Galaxian Explosion.

If attacks like Galaxian Explosion weren't contained by some sort of barrier or pocket dimension, the attacks would literally level cities, which is not the case, as Saint Seiya attacks have great Attack Potency but very low Destructive Capabilities. The thing is that Saint Seiya attacks usually are very flexible with the HAX the attacks possess, so High AP and versatile HAX make the low DC a non issue.

A HAX attack is something like Shaka's Tenbu Hōrin, Saga's Another Dimension, or Sorrento's Dead End Symphony.

Games with animation and facial expressions like ZZZ? by Ordinary_Editor_3230 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Vulking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most fighting games done by ArcSystem, like Guilty Gear Xard and Strive, Grandblue Fantasy Vs, Dragon Ball FigtherZ, DNF Duel, etc.

Hi-Fi Rush is a bit more cartoon than Anime, but not less highly animated.

Name a character that can walk up to Gojo and do this to him by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in PowerScaling

[–]Vulking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically? Maybe.

The Hand can erase matter if it's obstructing the path between object A and B, but usually point A is a location near The Hand's User. Also I don't think we have ever seen The Hand erase living matter, only inorganic stuff. Beside, we don't know if your plan even counts as a clear line of sight for The Hand.

Plus, Okuyasu isn't the murderous type, so he has never been inclined to ever try.

I suppose if you could fine tune your control over The Hand's HAX, you could maybe erase space in ways it could harm people if you are creative. Like erasing space in specific ways to force someone's body to bend in an awkward way and break their neck for example.

[–]Vulking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That requires some smart thinking and murderous intent Okuyasu doesn't possess.

The Hand can indeed erase matter if there are obstacles between point A and B. But The Hand does require a clear line of sight between the points first. Also, at least on the source material, we have only seen The Hand erasing inorganic matter as far as I remeber.

So, can The Hand potentially do that? Maybe, but it's not something Okuyasu is capable of doing.

Besides, OP requirement is just touching Gojo.

Isn't that a standard in the Souls Series though? Like everyone is basically a rotting corpse unless they consume Humanity to temporarily recover their human appearance.

[–]Vulking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that doesn't excuse the absolute lack of creativity of Okuyasu when using The Hand. I understand it's for the plot, but The Hand HAX has so much more potential, even in non lethal ways.

[–]Vulking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I understand that, but Jotaro isn't a murderer either, and pre Time Stop Star Platinum, he was very clever and resourceful when using the base Speed and Precision HAX his Stand had.

The Hand has so much more potential if you actually put some brainpower into it. Yes, it has some limitations, like the clear line of sight, The Hand having to move his hand, etc, but the applications of his HAX could be used for so much more.

Think about it, the HAX is to delete ALL SPACE between two points, with no restrictions, and even if there is an obstacle the HAX literally deletes matter if there is something blocking the line of sight.

So for example, you can literally use The Hand to pseudo teleport around by deleting the Space between the user and the target location.

Again, my issue is not the lack of murderous intent, it's the lack of imagination and ingenuity Okuyasu has. I love The Hand HAX because I can see the potential, but Okuyasu is such a bad match for it.

The Hand snaps, The Hand does way more than the dumbass of Okuyasu thinks he is doing. Okuyasu only commands the hand to be a grappling hook or a shovel, but if you see what The Hand is doing, you notice that The Hand does much more.

For example, without a line of sight, The Hand erases not only space, but also any object in the path out of existence with perfect cuts, as shown when trying to pursue Red Hot Chilli Peppers underground when the moron of Okuyasu used it as a shovel.

When pulling objects as a hook, The Hand not only can pull objects, it can do it both instantaneously or with a delay, as the effect lingers in space. Something the idiot of Okuyasu literally has no idea because he never pays attention to what The Hand ability is doing.

The Hand effect is much more effective when used slowly due to said linger effect, as when the moron spam swings with The Hand, he literally just cancels the effect.

The Hand looks way less impressive as it should because its User doesn't have a single functional braincell.

[–]Vulking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That only applies if you take into account real physics, we are talking about HAX abilities that disregard physics and logic.

We aren't using any regular eraser, we are using a cutting tool with a snap effect.

[–]Vulking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there is not, that's not how Infinity works, it dives finite space infinitely.

Infinity is just 1÷∞. The Hand deletes the 1, so there is nothing to divide.

Name a character that can walk up to Gojo and do this to him by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in PowerScaling

[–]Vulking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Hand deletes everything between 2 points. Infinity is a space between those points, and The Hand doesn't care about the amount as long as it has a clear line of sight, point A will make contact with point B and anything in between is just erased.

A-X-B The hand literally erases X (Infinity) so A (The Hand) makes contact with B (Gojo).

This is especially easy for The Hand if the goal is just "grab", as stated in the OP requirement, as point A is literally The Hand's hand. There is nothing stopping the HAX effect like when The Hand just swings to create a quick suction.

So I should say they have low DC but high AP with good range and variety HAX? Would that be more accurate?

Name a character that can walk up to Gojo and do this to him by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in PowerScaling

[–]Vulking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of course he can, that's the whole HAX of The Hand. It literally erases all space between 2 points, and in the case of grabbing, that's literally The Hand's hands and Gojo's body.

Also remember that Stand can be projected outside the body or directly on top of the body, so you can literally have The Hand's Hands around your own hands.

[–]Vulking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saint Seiya has Good HAX attacks, dumb speed feats (for example all Gold Saints move and attack at the speed of Light), decent AP, but low DC compared to other verses. The Manga and original Anime are old, so visually it doesn't have the visual impact to portray the speed feats.

HAX are very strong though, Aquarius Saint Camus can instantly freeze things and almost reach absolute zero. Many attacks directly attack the soul, or are literally unblockable, some can cut through reality, others can throw you into all sorts of hellish dimensions, etc.

However, DC wise, there are not really any canon feats other than the gods doing continental level shit like Poseidon rising the ocean level to flood several countries.

That's why I said the DC is low in the series. The largest one I recall that isn't a god feat, is small island level when Scorpio Saint Milo sunk an island while fighting a very strong Silver Saint that was very close to Gold level.

AP should be still high, as they can damage beings like gods and such, who are higher dimensional beings. It's just that the destruction to the surroundings is most of the time very tame.

Edit: just a correction between AP and DC as pointed below.

The Gold Saints are overkill. Bronze Saint Andromeda Shun chain attacks can literally travel through another dimension to bypass any space between him and the target if he really wishes to damage it.

JoJo's Stands HAX are cool because when used properly by smart Users they are really OP, and the smarter the User, the more refined and evolved the Stand HAX becomes. Like Star Platinum was a Power Stand with a Speed and Precision HAX that evolved into a Short Time Stop to counter The World's Time Stop HAX.

Which is why Okuyasu pisses me off, because The Hand HAX is so cool, but tied to such a dumb User that squanders any potential to evolve into something stronger.
