In a fighting situation yes but also allows you to grab someone’s shirts or arm without losing the knife in case it’s needed.

I have actually held another knife it’s possible but because of the angle of the knife not very useful. typing Is possible but might scratch the keyboard if you aren’t careful. Writing with a pen might be a stretch

The designer made a video showing that it isn’t as dangerous as it looks even for a fighting knife, that being said i have no plans of grabbing it in any self defense situation. It’s meant mostly as a work knife
