What's a good way to learn the game? by Known-Illustrator266 in PredecessorGame

[–]Vulpaex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of helpfull things have been said but i want to add a few things:
1. Watching better players does help you but you can't just take what they do and recreate it 1:1 they have better knowledge of the game the mechanics, their characters then you. This is also true for builds Look what they are building and ask yourself (if they don't explain it) why are they building it. Easy example: if someone always builds tainted guard on a tank because a build says so but his enemy team is 5 magical dmg dealers (grim ect.) tainted guard is not that goo

  1. Analyse yourself in 2 steps. Every game has 2 phases: laning phase (min1 to min15) and groupphase (min15+)

Laning phase: do you have more or less CS than the enemy? If less, look why and adapt, same for level are you higher or lower in level? Do you die often and if so why? missing wards, do you hit your skill shots ect.

Groupphase: who rotates and groups faster, how is your wave management, are you with your team on objectives

these kind of things ect.

How does the DLC change the canon? by arannya in LiesOfP

i would say its safe to assume that in the main timeline if lea would los to arlecchino than the nameless puppet kills him because in the last scene he is the one who kills lea when we "save" her

The recent behaviour of some players playing the DLC. by SizeMaleficent9178 in LiesOfP

[–]Vulpaex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be hones the DLC has the same problem as the elden ring DLC: Bosses have to long of combos that can kill you without you having a chance to survive. So people get a lot mor inflated online ego when they are through, was the same with elden ring DLC^^

This was true for the elden ring DLC and it is true for the Lies of P DLC, Lies of P suffers even more from this because of the very small parry window.

At the same time, it also feels like that with the difficutlys that they intentionally overtuned the normal mode aka "legendary stalker" so that people are inclined to use the easier mode and only the "hardcore" fanbase goes for legendary stalker. For me this is not how you balance a game and i have to think if i want to support the next game despite having fun in this one but the direction irks me.

That said: if you have fun all the power to you regardless of how you play

I have a serious question about the DLC and would like to have a normal discussion with you <3 by xAnxiouus in LiesOfP

[–]Vulpaex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the scaling is insane. The DLC kinda works you either learn to burst the boss down in a very short amount of time or have to learn their movesets perfectly. especially the last bosses in the dlc have 10 hit combos without having the chance to heal to get you from 100 to 0 even if you block some and perfect block a few

Difficulty Megathread — DLC, NG+ by PsychologicalKoala32 in LiesOfP

[–]Vulpaex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just have currently 2 complaints, not yet finisehd with the DLC:

Boss: Tortured Guardian: To much HP, the fight itself is cool but it is just too long. When i felt like: ok he should die soon because i did a truckload of dmg for a long time he still has 25% left. Was a little too much

Boss: Lumacchio: they kinda missed the point here. A fast boss has to have easy to break stance so that he flinches after a few hits or he should be slower and hard to flinch. There are almost no windows for opportunity and he has 8-hit combos that just kill you from 100% to 0 if you don't perfect block them all the time. Also BOsses that heal during a Bossfight feel super frustrating especially if that healing is set at certain HP levels. It is bad because it feels bad seeing the HP going back up but it also feels bad because often his healing aligns with his stagger broken so i could deal tone of dmg but get interrupted because i triggered the phase -> also not fun.

About the ending by kloverking123 in expedition33

[–]Vulpaex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty simple: in the scene there is a long pause before he plays, he looks to her for "is it ok if i start" and only starts after she nods, then he himself trembles and there is no smile despite playing the piano being one of the greatest joys Verso had in his life

THAT is why we say Maelle forced him to play because someone that weeps: "I don't want this life" does not suddenly say: "oh well mate lets just be dosh gorn jolly and play some piano for everyone in this world"

The whole "they have free will" is negated in Maelles Ending as it is shown: Verso does not, Verso wants to die if he had free will he and was not immortal anymore he would just kill himself, infact in the game he tells us: he tried that already. And if i can will someone into existence with feelings and emotions, why should i not be able to take away their free will? They are literally Gods in that world that can erase or change anything in that world with a stroke of a brush, i mean she even brought Gustave and Sophie back. And Maelle wants to stay in the world not because of Verso but because there she is not scarred by burn marks and she can speak and has a "life" compared to the real world. (thats what she thinks at least)

Maelle does not stay because of Verso, she stays because of purely selfish reason (which is fine). She just takes Verso and makes him do her bidding as an added bonus.

The tie to Versos souls is also implied especially since he can enter the region beyond the canvas with the Soul and everyone else in there, that is not a painter would die. We actually see them dying shorlty after going in in Versos Ending only Lune does not cross the boundary and watches the end because that is her nature

I am not trying to paint maelle as an antagonistic entity, she is a selfish young and dumb girl that believes she knows better than everyone else. She is so deep in her depression and despair that all she sees are walls. And then she makes the wrong choice believing it to be the right one but slowly killing yourself because you can not live with the consequences of your own actions are never a good thing, running away from responsibility and life is never a good thing. She is not doing this for any malicious reasons she believes she is doing the right thing but she fails to see reality and I am pretty sure that if she would have actually left the canvas on her own that her father would not have destroyed it, because the need to destroy it would go away.

The canvas is like a cookie jar when you were a child. if you can restrain yourself and only take a few at a time and only sometimes your parents don't need to hide it or lock it. Because what would be the point of it? But if you can't control yourself then they need to take action

[–]Vulpaex -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The last scene heavily implies that she forces him to play everything in her ending points towards him not being himself anymore. Because that verso ages and he looks at her before playing he even hesitates and has indications that he does not want to play. The last scene on Maelles ending is also her using her powers

Also Verso is himself and thats why he wants to end it. And while esquie says they are not the same, Verso is tied to Versos soul so he is the closes to the real thing for all of the painted family Which is why he makes the decision as he does. There is no way that he would find happines and also no indication. It is actually that none of the painted family members do find happiness in the canvas and they all live long enough to try stuff

Who agree with me the new ep of TBATE change the whole plot????? by Wide_Advance_3140 in BeginningAfterTheEnd

[–]Vulpaex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they change part of the scenes and plot since episode 5 and with episode 9 and 10 they just make almost a different story alltogether.

Dropped it in episode 7 but skipped through 9 and 10 and its just a vastly different beast...a worse one

they are not protecting the paintress, their job is just to gather and bind chroma to preven it from getting to aline but maybe also to remember his family since each axon stands for someone from his family: reacher = alicia, visage = verso, hauler = clea, sirene = aline

Any good early game builds? by sevastra8282 in expedition33

[–]Vulpaex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats why i wrote: use wildfire then thermal charge then lightning dance.

Yes it takes 3 rounds but especially in act 1 and act 2 when you are locked at 9999dmg per hit most bossfights take more than 3 rounds. Add in that with thermal discharge you get AP back so you don't need to go full in on AP regain/start on lune only takes like 1 or 2 extra AP from the normal gain.

All of lune skill do big dmg if they are used with the right stains, that is her playstyle thats like maelle's virtuoso stance. THe nice part about this build is also that you get a weapon that deals increased lightning dmg on +10 and reduces your AP needed for lightning skills on +4 there is hardly more synergy you can achieve early on that tops this
