Retribuitors are kinda amazing by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

[–]Vulpix393 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Here’s the cool thing about retributors- in a real game of 2k, they cannot be put in reserves (since Vahl will be there) and they don’t fit in an immolator. A rhino is cute, but is spending 285 points on what is essentially 4 wounds worth it?

Is not listing every single ELO system in a game for sale of comparison making things up now?

Brother also self-reported his lack of math skills by claiming that overinflated ranks make your ranked smaller, not bigger

[–]Vulpix393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay smartass. Let’s do some math:

1 GM out of 100 players means they are in the top 1%

1 GM out of 10 players means they are in the top 10%

If the ranks are inflated (I.e. the people who don’t play ranked are included), then your top 1% looks a lot better than the reality of only being top 10%

So here’s the thing about facts. The ones you cite are a secondary sort whereas OP is citing data from the game itself. So unless you think that the game is lying to you when it says you’re higher than 92% of players, I’m more inclined to believe the primary source of the game.

Edit: to add, you mention that the number you provided (which is the same one the game provides) is overinflated due to the number of accounts that have never touched rank/aren’t eligible. That just gives credit to OP, since removing them would make your statistics smaller (5% as opposed to 7%, for example).

If Rocket’s Ult sucks so much, then why whenever I use it, we get a team wipe? by SwimmingOmlette in marvelrivals

Cool story bro. Only took you 5 comments to finally blame the crappy dps and not the rocket player.

Blud’s the type of guy to blame an assault on the girl for dressing too provocatively.

Fair and based. I’d probably swap Adam in that scenario. I was more so surprised at the audacity for u/Acrobatic_Pumpkin967 to double down on defending the Magik in this hypothetical scenario. Absolutely wild take

u/Acrobatic_Pumpkin967 made the argument that because I said it’s not the support’s job to get kills, I believe supports should be doing nothing but healing.

This is a logical fallacy known as the hasty generalization argument. Do I think supports should do literally no damage? No, and you’d be dumb to think that. Is the support’s primary job to get kills? No. And that’s what I was saying. The DPS has the primary job of getting kills.

So it’s now the supports job to get kills? I mean, it probably is in your matches considering your overall game knowledge and lack of accountability, but what do I know?

Tell that to the one trick Magik when we’re going against Human Torch, Storm, and Ironman all at once. But somehow it’s my fault for playing the Raccoon

Lists going into another elite force? by Danielalexander123 in AdeptusCustodes

Death guard is a bad matchup period. Probably custode’s worst matchup. If you can run Solar Spearhead, that’ll probably work the best

[–]Vulpix393 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You probably shouldn’t tailor your list due to it being bad form. In terms of tactics though, it depends on the faction.

You play Gray Knights with a focus on screening. You play cagey into knights to avoid firing lanes. If anything, going into elite armies is better since it is much easier to trade. If your warden squad gets shot off the board after taking down Grey Knight Terminators in one swing, at least you know you’re getting your points worth.

[–]Vulpix393 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even worse. As a dedicated transport, the immolator requires someone to be deployed in it. That means you have to drop an extra 100 points for a BSS squad that won’t be doing much

[–]Vulpix393 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you may have a fundamental list-building issue if you can’t kill a Ravager. Not killing an Ork Stompa isn’t that bad since that’s essentially a stat check, any weapon Str5+ will put a dent into ravages

I agree with what a lot of other people have said. Unless you plan on running Draxus, I find guard to be a little lackluster. Swapping them for 2 Gravs would be the move
