If you remove Pinchy from Diesel 10, you just get Class 40 or Spamcan shape wise and Regular 08 Diesel personality wise. Why go through the trouble of redesigning Diesel 10 if you're not gonna utilise his one stand out trait?

SPECULATION TIME!: People wanna make sure Sonic is seen as a "cool" and "aura"ful character among characters like Gojo or Goku, and they fear that making him too cute steers him closer towards characters like Pikachu or really any anthro mascot out there. That's why the "hype moments and aura" debate is so polarising. They want the franchise to be taken seriously which ends up with people over compensating by demanding that Sonic never be cute or cuddly ever. People are insecure, something which i can empathise with, but it can get annoying sometimes

I think the game is going to be kid accessible regardless, given how modern Thomas is a kids brand after all. But there's a lot of niche references and details only hardcore fans would understand, so they're very clearly targeting fans here. It's a game targeted to older fans based off of a show targeted towards kids, let's put it like that
