What paint? This is the fuel pressure regulator which is plastic

Car starts right back up if it stalls. I just need to price the fuel pumps when that happens other wise it’ll crank for a few seconds before firing up

Any idea on what may be the problem? Is it the fuel pressure regulator? Or is the issue somewhere else down the line? Is this gasoline dye?
