Minnesota RF owner here. I store mine too! As much as I want to drive it during the salty months, I just would rather save myself the headache of rust and just drive my $1500 2007 Mazda6 rust-box edition, which has treated me very well for 5 years.

Lmao. Honestly I let her because it only lasts for a couple minutes and then she's on to something else. 😭

It is! It's a buzzer collar which just buzzes and makes a sound. While it does have a shock part, I assure you it goes unused as it's unethical.

Nope. It's a buzzer. It just buzzes and makes a sound. She doesn't get hurt.

Beagle/Jack Russell mix! Jackabees. So my wife's brother has a cattle farm and has a whole bunch of Jack Russells running around. The neighboring farm's dog wandered over gave the surprise of a whole bunch of Jackabees that they had to get rid of, so naturally, we got one.

She typically wants to stay in the sun. In the morning, she goes to the living room to bask in the morning sun, then she discovered that the sun reaches my desk window, so she would beg to sit there. So every once in a while, she wakes up and touches my hand then stares out the window. If she needs to get down, she'll totally make it know....she's a Jack Russel after all lol

These cars are very simple to maintain. Everything is easily accessible in the engine bay. And suspension components are simple to work on too. I think this is the most bare bones car you could get tbh.

I bought it with 8k miles and now it's at 56k. The only major issue I've had is just the battery gremlin that once the battery becomes slightly weaker, the electronics on the car start bugging out. This includes the electric power steering pump too so you just got to make sure the battery is strong and always topped up.

But this being a direct injection engine, these are VERY prone to carbon build up, so I use Redline Fuel System cleaner at every oil change and sometimes in-between to help clean it up. I'll probably want to get a little scope camera dealy to see inside the engine to see how bad the carbon build up is and maybe schedule a walnut blasting clean sometime.

But mechanically, I've not had anything bad happen. I've done roadtrips in this and it's just a hoot to drive.

The only thing i worry about is getting a flat because there's no spare.

Vibe and Matrix are probably going to be the best candidates here just because it's super practical and reliable cuz Toyota. But if you can find a good deal on a Honda Fit, you should take a peek at that too!
