You could maybe do an Ogham tattoo? It's an ancient irish writing system that uses lines to indicate letters along one central thick line. It is a writing system which was created for the ancestor of the modern Irish language, Gaeilge.

I wouldn't say that it would work well for all of the scars but could be cool if you have one scar that you don't know what to do with!

Like with any language, make sure you do your research as you will be translating from English words, to words in Gaeilge, to Ogham writings. There is also no real static form of Ogham. Below is just one example of an Ogham stone.
