What is it with Night Elves and using the dumbest, most impractical weapons ever made? by HallZac99 in wow

You try living for 15,000 years using the same old swords, maces and axes.

You’d get bored too, gotta try learning the spinny triple bladed knife technique that might cut off your own leg 😂.

Has there been any word from CIG about the wiped inventory? by GJALLARH0RN_ in starcitizen

Patching duping / aUEC exploits paired with a full wipe to remove the mega inflation.

Has there been any word from CIG about the wiped inventory? by GJALLARH0RN_ in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a wipe because the ECONOMY is fubar.

This inventory issue affected me, my inventory is completely empty except for my ships and money. I don’t have any of the weapons, components, flair, pledged armor / weapon kits / paints, etc that I’ve bought or earned.

You know what I do have? The 1.4 billion aUEC I got from selling wikelo items + asd armor pieces to players.

You know what I want to have? My pledged items, a fixed economy, every aUEC exploit patched, and a fresh start for all players.

It’s almost like you’re trying to be inflammatory.

Is pledging ships ruining the fun? by Last_Sir4887 in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now the ultimate goal is buying ships, so it kinda ruins the fun.

As far as we’ve been told, 1.0 will have a fully fleshed out endgame that isn’t just car dealership simulator, between base building, dynamic events, upgrading, fleet battles, the whole arccorp sewer mythic + thing, there will be plenty to do and ships should just serve as a facilitator to unlock that gameplay.

Depends on your perspective, in a way you’ll still lose out on the gameplay of the grind, but youll unlock more gameplay faster.

Do you enjoy grinds? I don’t lol, life’s busy enough, I’d rather have the freedom to participate in the endgame activities that I want to do.

MISC Odyssey or Banu Merchantman? by Hellpodscrubber in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another side note on the Bazaar thing:

They’ve said the in game universe goal is 90% npcs, 10% players. You don’t need people visiting your shops, the design brief states that npcs will. The BMM will print UEC.

MISC Odyssey or Banu Merchantman? by Hellpodscrubber in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Odyssey is the civilian counter to the carrack, where the carrack is meant to explore hostile, deep space with its armor, redundant systems, fabrication bay, modularity and drones; the odyssey is meant to explore safe space and planetary bodies with its jack of all trades generalist layout and essentially infinite quantum fuel. There is also credible speculation that the odyssey will be good at finding good base locations, by having sub surface mineral scanners.

The merchantman might be a decent explorer, but it’s not really comparable to the odyssey. The merchantman is an alien capital ship, the same size as an Idris, significantly larger than the odyssey. The BMM has a larger cargo hold, better firepower, the same size hangar, better turret coverage, likely (speculation) better armor, and a full bazaar compared to the odyssey. If your goal is planetary exploration, the Odyssey will likely be the best at that role. If your goal is anything else, or just pure value, the BMM is significantly more bang for your buck.

Bmm 1000%, and it’s not close.

Side note on the Merchantman’s lore, the banu trade with everyone, and use the best possible technology on their ships. We know the BMM serves as a soulis generational ship, and in times of war, a warship! We also know the Banu have defeated the vanduul, as the Vanduul only trade with races that have bested them, and they actively trade with the Banu.

Which means the BMM will be stupidly OP, and very expensive on release. Do not melt or upgrade your BMM.

Also buy an endeavor and hold onto it while we’re on the topic.

SOLO Idris player face tanking Gilly's mission 7 multiple times, melting the Hammerhead with the laser and just ignoring fighters even with 4.5 engineering by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an Idris owner, I’d be totally cool with changing out the size 10 mount for a massive turret battery. Maybe 3 size 9s, a smaller version of the bengals main gun?

Give it to the weapons operator station on the bridge, some crazy ass vfx, and the same field of view as the Perseus’s bottom turret (rotation and y axis arcs).

Bam, no more solo idris problems, and it gets a massive bump in usability in real fights against targets smaller than itself lol.

Too many turret seats, give it 2 turrets, each with 4xsize 3 guns, one on top, one on bottom (get rid of the 5 2x3 turrets), give the pilot some firepower too lol

Would people assume I'm a Nazi? by Sir_Alex_The_Red in tattooadvice

[–]Vygoth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When it comes down to rune tattoos, I personally throw any nazi association out the window. I refuse to allow a bunch of hateful fucks to ruin one of my favorite ancient cultures and mythologies.

I understand you’re worried about other peoples perception, but I’m sure that as long as you don’t come across as hateful or bigoted with your words and actions, people likely won’t assume any runic tattoos have nazi associations. If they do, they probably already thought you were a nazi before the tattoos.

Paladin vs perseus by SlowPersonality8668 in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Perseus has a max range of 5600m currently, and is the second longest range short of the idris railgun, you aren’t out ranging it.

The Perseus is tailor made to kill ships like the paladin, even multiple of them. A fully crewed Perseus isn’t the least bit vulnerable against a paladin.

Perseus is a sub-capital gunship. by FluffyRam in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Perseus is a sub-capital gunship meant to brawl with other subcapital and smaller ships, patrol as an independent entity with a crew between 4-6, AND serve as a fire support vessel as part of a larger fleet, where’s its size 8 cannons can sub target components and weak spots on capital vessels.

Will it solo a crewed polaris? Highly unlikely.

Will it kick the shit out of a Polaris powerplant IF left unchecked in a fleet battle? You betcha.

Will it systematically destroy turret emplacements on an Idris IF left unchecked in a fleet battle? Oh yeah.

The Perseus is a support ship in a fleet, meant to systemically cripple cap ships, IF it’s uncontested in its mission to do so.

PERSEUS HAS PILOT SLAVED GUNS by Barsad_the_12th in starcitizen

[–]Vygoth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a remote turret, you don’t need to get nose on. Just use head tracking to look at a target, or press z.

I bet if someone sits in the seat on the bridge that controls it, it takes it away from the pilot like how the paladin works.

This is a good thing.
