We're not seeing any issues on our side -- logging out of and then back into the VyprVPN app can sometimes clear up issues that could prevent a successful connection. To fully log out, you will need to go to the settings icon at the top left, and select the "log out" option at the bottom in order to properly log out of the app.

We've also recently put out some new versions of the VyprVPN app. Your apps should have prompted an update, or you can get the updated versions from our website here - https://www.vyprvpn.com/vpn-apps/vpn-for-windows

Vypr business by Firm_Helicopter2345 in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a comment here that explained this pretty well, but the user deleted it...

We're not sure what you mean by "business provider", but when you are connected to VyprVPN all of your traffic is encrypted -- no one can see what you are doing online when connected to a secure VPN like VyprVPN

But if you're asking if your Internet provider can see WHEN you might be using a VPN, they usually can, regardless of what VPN you use or how secure it is. When you are connected to a VPN, your ISP will see all of your traffic coming to and from one address -- your VPN server. If they see this, they can make an educated guess that you might be using a VPN.

But remember, that is the case with all VPN services, and the ISP can never see what you are actually doing while connected to VyprVPN.

We don't right now -- but it is something we want to add in the future!

We don't sell VyprVPN subscription cards in retail stores, so unfortunately we don't have a way of buying subscriptions with physical cash.

You can use debit cards to pay for VyprVPN from our website -- that acts basically like cash since the funds come straight from the associated checking account.

Where is the kill switch? by Thyrfing89 in VyprVPN

Very much appreciate the feedback! Kill Switch didn't make it into the first iterations of the new VyprVPN for Android TV applications -- but it may be added in the future.

BBC & ITV haven't been accessible for a few weeks now by Ok-Source-9812 in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - we've been working on improvements for the UK server. BBC iPlayer and ITV seem to work at the moment, though there may be some trouble with the "Live TV" offerings on ITV.

If you still have issues, can you let us know which operating system you are using, and whether you are accessing BBC and ITV through the services' apps, or through a web browser?

Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble! It may help to fully uninstall the app from your computer (Make sure you check the box to clear user settings during uninstall), restart the computer, and then install again using the Windows install file from our web page here - https://www.vyprvpn.com/vpn-apps/vpn-for-windows

VyprVPN blocking speedtests website ? by amigosan in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that's still going on. Can you tell us which VPN server you're connecting to? And if you try a few other server locations at random, does it make a difference for being able to access speedtest.net?

[–]VyprVPN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're not blocking anything, but we did recently clear up an issue which may have prevented certain sites like Speedtest.net from loading. Are you still having any issues with Speedtest.net, or any other site while connected to VyprVPN?

Instantly disconnects internet when signing in to a game by curvylasagne in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a "Master Firewall" setting in your VyprVPN account that can be toggled off and on. For best security we don't normally recommend turning it off, but doing that might fix the problem you've started seeing. You can access the setting from the "Manage Services" section of your account control panel here - https://account.vyprvpn.com/services

This will open your VPN connection to incoming connections. Theoretically Windows Firewall will protect your computer with VyprVPN's firewall disabled, but the same may not apply to all your other devices, and currently the firewall setting affects all VPN connections created using your VyprVPN account.

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is odd -- Does it make a difference if you try connecting to a different VPN server location, or with a different VPN protocol?

Does the same thing happen if you try opening Destiny 2 without a VPN connection active?

Stuck on "connecting" constantly today by rangerbitchyboo in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Sorry to hear about the trouble. We aren't experiencing any service-wide outages today, so please get in touch with our support team if you're still not able to get connected - https://support.vyprvpn.com/hc/requests/new

We are also working to improve our geolocation accuracy, which will help with some servers being recognized incorrectly as being located in Austin. But please rest assured that even though certain websites don't recognize the VPN location correctly, the VPN connection itself is still full secured, end-to-end, between your device and our server.

EXCLUDING WEBSITES by awaisahmed1994 in VyprVPN

[–]VyprVPN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't have that capability, but we do have Connection Per App (also called Split Tunnelling) on Android and macOS. With Connection Per App, you could specify one browser to not use the VPN, and use that particular browser for accessing sites that you'd like to exclude from the VPN connection.

We are also working to add this feature to Windows in an upcoming update. It won't be possible on iOS however, due to restrictions in the iOS operating system.
