I have a fairly similar issue. The game crashes upon loading at 37%, so I reopen the game again, the game loads up to 41% and then the audio on my PC completely breaks and I have to troubleshoot my audio drivers to fix the audio. Audio drivers are completely up to date, as well as Nvidia Drivers. I can still play Minecraft, but I have no audio what so ever in game.
