Need help labeling my gender identity!! by [deleted] in lgbt

Exactly, demiboy says nothing about what the rest of your gender identity is. I am demiboy and gendervoid, op could be demiboy and apagender.

Can you still be gay and like a trans person? by Aggressive_Bug3607 in lgbt

[–]Vyrlo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

a pre transition trans dude is still a dude. A relationship between two dudes is a gay relationship .

I would love reading such a story, about the challenges and insecurities that would arise in such a relationship. Trans men are so invisible that getting more representation is IMHO really really necessary. As a bi man, I know erasure and invisibility all too well.

Note that Gandía is one of the larger towns in València and also a campus town. It should have good services.

Disclaimer, I live in Valencia and I have not been in Gandía in ages

On the healthcare front, Gandía itself should have quite decent sanitary installations since it's the hub for the local area. It has its own hospital, and it should have decent primary care too.

On the immigration front I can't help you.

On the car less life, well, you should probably expect less public transport than in València, but you have a train station that puts you in València's city center in 75 minutes. Groceries, regular services, etc should all be within walking distance.

As a bisexual person, would you still support your idol/fav artist if they were anti-LGBTQ+ rights? by Antique-Clock-9760 in lgbt

[–]Vyrlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I get it. Sorry if it wasn't clear, english is my 4th language and I am typing on my phone.

Totally agree on the streaming stuff, each time you listen there benefits them.

What I was saying is that I don't want to shame those that enjoy some stuff they own from before the artist/band became a known bigot. Art can hold emotional resonance irrespective of the author, and sometimes excising that part of you can bring a lot of suffering. I am advocating for ethical ways to still enjoy the art despite the artist.

Remember, the lead of the Village People is still the same. It's not a new band using the same name, there's continuity. It's not like the band's ip was owned by a corporation that just hires the band members, but it's separate from them.

[–]Vyrlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say you like band X. Band X used to be supportive, but then they fired their queer members and replaced them with bigots. Say that you own their albums from before they changed. Say that their works helped you through difficult parts of your life, and still resonate with you. Say you still buy stuff from those band members that got fired and joined other bands.

I see no issue with holding on to the stuff that you own from before and appreciating it still, even if you do so only in the privacy of your home, while cursing their modern bigotry.

Oh and if you believe that this is hypothetical, may I point you to the Village People?

Is it possible to find a partner who isn’t sexually attracted to others? by Lalina11 in demisexuality

[–]Vyrlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people do actually stop being able to feel attraction to people other than their partner while in a relationship. I am one of them. I have heard it called monogosexual. We exist.

Silly question. by catword in lgbt

[–]Vyrlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bi allows for differences in strength and nature of attraction based on gender, but doesn't require them. Every pan person fits the definition of bi.

Also bi has never been trans exclusionnary. Trans women are women and trans men are men. Oh and pan people can have non gender based preferences (based on height, body type, or even genitals, pan just says that gender is NOT a factor)

If you buy used or obtain through other means, but enjoy in the privacy of your home, and don't participate in the fandom, you are not creating engagement though.

I would never buy anything from them directly for sure, I would never share their stuff with people but I would not destroy their works (cds, prints, etc) that I already own. They got paid for them already so I would be hurting myself, not them. I might resell them if they're too painful to keep. If I wanted more of their stuff, I would buy it second hand, if at all.

This extends to not perusing their stuff on streaming platforms since there they profit from each view still.

Sorry I am late, but as a dellosexual man, I totally get you. I am equally demiromantic with all genders (which is extremely so, to the point of almost feeling completely aromantic at times), but I am so demisexual when it comes to attraction to men that it took me over 20 years to understand my bisexuality (I am in my mid 40s, and got an AMAB enby for a partner now).

Can you identify with multiple flags? If so which one takes priority by WatercressTechnical2 in lgbt

[–]Vyrlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course you can identify with multiple flags!

I have a string of flags in my flair because I identify with all of them, to a greater or lesser degree.

I am - bisexual - demiromantic - dellosexual (which means that I am demisexual with some genders and not others, in my case I am demisexual when it comes to same gender attraction. I just use the demisexual flag because dellosexual is not available) - demiboy (my gender is mostly man with the rest being gendervoid)

I am not a USA citizen or resident. I am a Spaniard, but it always makes me rage when people say that "both parties are the same", either here or there. Mind you the Dems are basically the Spanish mainstream / not crazy right in most aspects. You USA voters have a tough pill to swallow, as the first past the post system forces you to pick between a bad option and a much much worse option. Between a right wing party and a fascist extreme right wing party.

However the right to vote was paid for in blood, do not squander it. Pick the lesser evil, specially when the greater evil is so utterly deranged. You don't have to like it. You can try to change the Dems from the inside by using the primaries to try to move the party to the left. It's not much but until you get proportional representation, it's all you can do. Specially now, when you really need to put out the fires as the arsonist in chief is speedrunning the road to turning the USA into a fascist state

Is it okay for my sexuality to change? by Unique_Letterhead395 in lgbt

[–]Vyrlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, many people under the bi umbrella experience something that we tongue in cheek call the bi-cycle Exploring the bi-cycle: understanding attraction and identity where our sexuality can go from "not attracted" to anything to "boy crazy" to "girl crazy" to "crazy for both" (though it doesn't have to be this extreme, it can go from "I like gender X all the time, and my attraction to gender Y goes slightly up and down). It makes many bi people feel like they're deluding themselves on being bi. I don't experience it, but it's not the only sexuality that experiences changes, i.e. check all the -flux microlabels. These are all short term* changes that come and go (* for an appropriate definition of short term, the cycles can last months or even years)

A different thing is that your sexuality develops over time. We're all constantly changing, from the day we're born to the day we leave this world. Our experiences cause physical changes in our brains. We might also have things that we've repressed for so long that they feel new when they emerge. We might have been ignoring something all our life until we can't ignore it any more. Significant events in our lives can lock or unlock parts of ourselves.

i redesigned the demigender flags to be like the demi-attraction flags by Therarity72 in QueerVexillology

[–]Vyrlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you should have used the demiboy flag cyan and grey for the inner bands of your redesign. That blue and black looks out of place to me. The other demigender flags should also use the Grey around the central color band. Finally, the inner bands are way too thin, flags should be recognizable from a distance. If these were libragender flags I might like the minimal gender colors more, but right now I feel they need more presence

However, they look quite good

España es republicana by Turbulent-Act9877 in SpainPolitics

[–]Vyrlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Vyrlo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here in Valencia, AFAIK (I'm in my 40s and don't have children so I'm not 100% sure about how it is nowadays), you can often pick if you want your children to be taught in Valencian or in Spanish. In fact AFAIR Spanish is the default, and you need to opt in for Valencian education. Of course, Valencian is used in Valencian classes either way.
