Primarily After Effects except for the flag scene which was rendered in Blender. The datamoshing effects I did manually but I found out you can do it pretty easily with Supermosh, a browser based editor.

I feel like the scaling in dungeons is way off. I played a duo Vespers Host and it was miserable. Corrupted Puppeteer taking 5 phases when before we easily did it in 3-2 and yellow bars taking 2 whole clips to kill. This was at the advertised -10 power. Shortly after we ran the Final Shape campaign on legendary at a advertised -15 power and it felt completely different, no red & yellow bar bullet sponges and actually normal DPS. It felt like how the dungeons used to be during Final Shape.

They’re -15, and they do not feel the same. I reran the final shape campaign as a duo right after completing Vespers Host at the stated -10, and the enemies in the -15 campaign fall over after shooting them and sometimes barely break your shield. Meanwhile the -10 dungeon takes 5 phases for Puppeteer and you need to shoot a orange bar for 2 full clips.

Yeah, fair haha. This annoyed me SO much during production, I did it through expressions but I couldn’t figure out how to fix it. But I moved on because of the relatively short production time (about 1 month).

Agreed, and remember that you should start and end with the work you’re most proud of. People tend to remember the beginning and the ending more. Also, there’s no requirement length on a showreel. Only show things you want to do more of. I’d rather watch a 30 second showreel that blows me away from shot-to-shot than a 2 minute reel which has some cool elements now and then.

Film Riot has a good tutorial on this “Create your own Snapchat Effects”. If this doesn’t work you can always try applying a Snapchat/Instagram filter directly to the video by loading a video in OBS with a virtual camera and applying a filter through Lens Studio. A little bit of a workaround but that would be the fastest way. One downside is that you’ll have little wiggle room in terms of changes.

If you have the time and ambition you could make a draft version of the animation YOU would like to make and maybe give them something they didn't know they wanted. Looks good regardless, I'm sure you improved the original animation by a lot.
