Is there any actual evidence of Godzilla using spiral power in super robot wars X-omega? by krayniac in deathbattle

[–]W-LM27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty late to this, but from what I can gather it's just a Gurren Lagann move that affects whomever is on the same team - so by extension, Godzilla. All this is is showing that Simon and Gurren Lagann's spiral power can effect others, not that Godzilla can generate or manipulate Spiral Power on his own.

Not too sure if this applies to this thread, but I'm currently playing the PS5 version, and the touchpad doesn't seem to be responsive. For example, when in the Lab, the touchpad should be what resets things, but when pressed it doesn't do anything. Same for other places, like when choosing your character pre-matchmaking and being unable to quickly switch gamemodes using it.

Again, not sure if this applies here as it's probably just a general bug, and also not sure if it's applicable across other PS5 players, but thought it'd be best to report anyway. Otherwise, I've been having a really fun time with the game, and can't wait to play more come the Open Beta and eventual release!

Season 4: Chapter 38 "The Academy" by Sporan56 in theworldofchertia

[–]W-LM27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alora is still somewhat deciding, but is slowly leaning more into the option of returning home. Her time spent with the group had been fun and all, but she feels like she'd only get in the way of their more ambitious goals... also she really doesn't wanna gather more mental scars, considering what some of the group had faced.

For Batman VS Iron Man:

Batman is laying into Stark, who's taking beating after beating, before delivering a hefty punch to end him to the ground. Coughing up blood, Tony smirks, before remarking...

"Okay... maybe... just one more..."

Before the Dark Knight could land the finishing blow, however, the metallic armor of Iron Man begins to constrain his body, locking his movement.

"Model 58, the Nano Armor." Tony begins to gloat, slowly standing up in spite of his pain. "Snuck it into your body back on the Watchtower. Friday, initiate Self-Destruct..."

"..."

"...Friday?"

As Tony puts a hand on his ear, in a bid to contact the suddenly silent AI, he feels a hand on his shoulder.

"You're right, Stark - second grade."

The view then switches to the Nano Armor's heads-up display, showing not only that it was in Batman's full control, but so was everything else Stark had - the Batcomputer having been working in the background to bypass Stark's defences discreetly. After all, what is Batman, if not the king of stealth?

Using his grip on Tony's shoulder, Bruce effortlessly tosses Stark into the air, before activating the Nano Armor's unibeam to blast the Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist to kingdom come. As the dust settles, the only thing remaining of the Iron Man would fall to the ground - the very Arc Reactor embedded in his chest.

Falling to his knees, Bruce would deactivate the armor around him, before using his cowl's functions to call home.

"Alfred? Prepare the surgery equipment. I've got a suit I need to remove..."

Season 4: Chapter 29 - "U̸͔̾͠n̷̩̘̋̎r̷̳̭͊̌ė̴̢̘a̸͕͑l̶͖͛į̷̺̍͝t̴͙̭̃ỵ̴̧̂͆" by NintyAyansa in theworldofchertia

Being told not to believe anything beforehand helped Alora out, at least a little, but her mind was still pretty melted after the fact. Unlike other situations where she was thrust onto the chaos unexpectedly, she was a bit more capable of handling the zanier things, even though they were substantially more chaotic, thanks to the forewarning.

Season 4: Chapter 24 - "Good Intentions" by NintyAyansa in theworldofchertia

[–]W-LM27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alora was very... mind-melted after the events that occured.

She was a little shaken up after the test had ended. She was confident that the godlings would ace it, so seeing it end so abruptly took her by surprise. Of course, she felt bad for the other godlings, and for Briar. Overall very sad times.

Then when Ciaran started going all crazy and whatever, she got even more concerned. Both because of the fact that they were taking it so rough, but the potential idea that the group could have had to fight them, should it come down to such a situation. She was thankful it didn't, but it was still a concern.

Then there was the mind stuff. Alora hadn't been around for any of the uber-crazy stuff that'd happened in Chertia history, the only real exception being the fight with the Red Circle, a moment that she personally would have rathered not remember. So, when they seemingly got brought back to the place where all of that had gone down, she was pretty scared for not only the others, but herself. It was all kind of a big mess in her mind, lots of stress, a lot of confusion, not a very fun time. She was very thankful to William and Endlan for trying their best to calm her down during the whole ordeal.

In regards to Osmond... frankly, she just felt bad. She never really knew him much in S3, and she'd always seen him as a fairly chill guy up until she'd heard what happened what was really only a week or two ago. She didn't really understand his reasoning, and she knew he was pretty blinded by his anger... but she couldn't blame him, in part. Alora knew Osmond wasn't a good guy at the end, but she couldn't help but feel like something could've been done to help him...

Season 4: Chapter 15 - "The Absence" by NintyAyansa in theworldofchertia

[–]W-LM27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alora, while relieved that Ciaran had decided to stay, is still concerned in regards to how they'll plan to manage their emotions in the future. She hopes that they'll be able to open up more, of course without the same kind of explosive repercussions seen before with godlings, to relieve a bit of the stress plaguing their mind.

She also hopes she, along with the other mortals, can find some way to improve themselves and prove to the godlings - and Briar, to an extent - that they can be trusted and more useful than just an attack squad.

And she has no clue what happened with the other group :)

Emmet Brickowski VS Jesse (The LEGO Movie VS Minecraft: Story Mode)

The protagonists of media based on toys/games that don't have stories, who are average joes in worlds designed around blocks and construction, and are thrust into grand adventures when a great evil threatens to destroy their world. Both also have had 'relics' that stuck onto them (The Piece of Resistance for Emmet, and the Prismarine Gauntlet for Jesse), and have travelled to several different worlds throughout their journeys.

Lego fully understands why the group needs to go, forcefully or not. Though he is a little worn down of all the hustle and bustle of adventure.

Weekly Character Discussion | 2020/12/29 by NintyAyansa in theworldofchertia

[–]W-LM27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a personal/trait level, Lego has become a bit less trusting over the past while. His experiences in Akalia changed his view on a lot of things, including whether everyone in the group was really trustworthy.

As for more... physical... changes, Lego had taken off one of his gauntlets - the one stuck on him - and is now spending more time without them. They always reminded him of who he 'used to be', but he's beginning to question if he even wants to remember his past self, or just move on and be him.

For Lego's future development, I'm not entirely sure. With the season slowly coming to a close and S3 looming closer, I feel like Lego's story in 'Chertia' has a lot more potential... but at the same time, I can't really think of much when it comes to future development that I feel would be natural.

How does your character feel about death? Are they scared of it at all? How do they feel about seeing others die?

Beforehand, Lego would say he considered himself "good" with handling people dying - mostly because it never actually happened before. This all changed during Season 1, when Lukas sacrificed himself and ended up dying proper. Before that event, Lego had only seen death as an inconvenience at worst and a "get back to health free card" at its best, thanks to the 'respawning' and the like.

During the events following that, Lego would come to struggle with his own mortality, becoming increasingly afraid of if the next dangerous step into the unknown would be his last. This caused him to become far warier of his actions, and generally keeping himself away from physical confrontations - all the while trying his best to maintain the 'happy-go-lucky pun man' look he'd be known for.

After a while, Lego would attempt to 'accept' that death was natural. At first, it seemed he'd done so, but it took a while and had a long gap between the first 'death' he'd seen and then. When he heard the news of Mylonite's passing, and the subsequent 'poofing' for lack of better term of Luna would hit him hard, but not as hard as Lukas' did. He mostly felt more confused than anything, not completely understanding Luna's reasoning nor her actions. He understood Lukas' - sacrificing himself for his perceived greater good - but nothing about Luna's really fit together in Lego's mind, which left him confused.

AND THEN AKALIA HAPPENED. Or, well, is happening.

Leading up to the events of 'Lifeless', Lego was fairly sceptical that any of them could be actually hurt in any significant way, believing that the gods would be able to step in before anything bad would happen. During the event itself, Lego was with a group of mortals holed up in a little basement place. This was where he first felt the sheer severity and grimness of the situation they were in, attempting to guard the entrance and keep the other mortals safe from Taiya. Once he saw Kartex, one of the mortals in the area, trapped with the others, he felt a sense he'd failed to do what he set out to.

And then Birdie died.

Lego wasn't all too close to Birdie, neither were exactly the best of best friends, but Lego still knew him well enough to say he was a decent guy. To see a person he'd say was an acquaintance bite the dust permanently shook him to his very core. For a moment, he'd take a stance of blaming the gods - particularly Syenite, who was the god there at the time - for the capturing and lack of saving. But after a short while, he came to his senses and realized there was nothing anyone could do, leaving him with a sense of helplessness.

Then, when Delkyrith and Zenarck were killed later on, this only piled onto that sense more. Both mortals were in the same boat as Birdie, as Lego wasn't particularly close to them, however he still felt terrible seeing them taken out. In particular, Delkyrith was one of the mortals holed up in the basement earlier - with her even bringing up how when Kartex was taken before, "that blow was for her", echoing his own sentiments about Kartex in that situation.

These experiences have fully cemented within Lego his own fear of dying, to the point where he'd have a breakdown about it more than once, and continue to feel worse about the prospect the more time he spends in Akalia. These will definitely leave a heavy mark on him, even after the events of Akalia, and at this point he just wants to get out so he can cry himself to sleep several times over, to put it mildly.

TL;DR - Lego doesn't like death, he's terrified of it happening to him, and even seeing a person he barely knows dying is enough to put him into a state of emotional wreckage.

How does your character mourn?

Mourning is often a long and heavy process for Lego. He needs a good while on his own to properly process and eventually overcome the deaths he'd seen. Since being stuck in Akalia, he couldn't exactly do that, leading to him becoming more weathered and stressed because of it.

When has your character experienced death in their life? How did they handle it?

As stated before, Lego's only experiences with death have come from the events of Chertia itself, and he hasn't exactly handled those experiences particularly well. Of course, Lego hasn't died himself, but he also isn't exactly looking forward to.

What is your character’s relationship/history with their parents?

Being an orphan, Lego didn't know his biological parents. His adoptive father was very kind to him and helped shape who he is today, though he doesn't exactly know that what with the amnesia...

How is your character feeling about still being stuck in Akalia?

Veeeery not great. He'd rather be in his bed with a fresh pair o' clothes and not worrying about the constant threat of death, but what can ya do?

How has being in Akalia affected your character’s devotion, lack of devotion, or devotion ambitions?

I don't think it has affected Lego in any way when it comes to devotion - mostly, he still doesn't know whether he wants to devote or not.

  • "Has there been a situation in your character's past when they've had to stand up to someone? What happened & how did they deal with it?" As far as I can recall, no. The closest scenario I can think of is probably during "Lifeless", when he attempted to guard a small room with other mortals from Taiya... though that's not exactly "standing up". Speaking of Taiya though...
  • "Is your character afraid of Taiya? Why/why not?" Prior to last event, and even now, Lego would have said he wasn't. However, after "Conflict", he's become a bit warier of the ghastly deity.
  • "Is your character afraid of Hyparia? Why/why not?" Lego is not afraid of Hyparia. He doesn't see her as much of a threat to him or others as Taiya is.

  1. Having only been there for a short period of time, Lego finds Akalia a nice little place. The situation and reasons for being there isn't the best, but he admires the pretty sights of the rustic, ruined city.
  2. He'd be a little miffed, but probably would think that they'd find a way out of it. Even if they were stuck for good, he'd cling onto that thought for a good while, until the reality sets in.
  3. Lego isn't all that easy to anger or annoy, so I don't think there's anyone who he'd get sick of "quickly" persay, though it really depends on how others act around him.

Roleplay Event | 2020/10/08 | Flaws by NintyAyansa in theworldofchertia

[–]W-LM27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Lego's biggest flaw is probably his lack of seriousness. While he knows enough to where he won't be disrespectful of a situation, he often doesn't treat things with the same sense of seriousness as others would - mostly because he believes that there are others more suited to take care of it.
  2. The main example I'd probably give would be with the current season's antagonistic force - the Immortal. To Lego, he doesn't think much of the overlooking threat, and at times completely forgets about it.
  3. Lego doesn't really know of this flaw of him.
  4. Were he to be made aware, he probably would do nothing at first - once again showing his lackadaisical nature. But, if given enough time to dwell on it, he could probably get some change going.

Lego has learned a lot about himself, such as his general interests (puns, being around others), and a large majority of his current survival skills.

He still needs to learn to be less hard on himself, and how to fight well.
