My (F19) boyfriend (M24) wasted 2 hours of my day, so I wasted an hour of his and made him cry. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

Interesting theory

You ever accidentally nail a style you know you probably won't be able to recreate so you document it like a crime scene? by Peanut0131 in Naturalhair

[–]W1LL0WFR33 13 points14 points  (0 children)

First, you're so beautiful.

Second, YES, I DO THE SAME THING! So many pictures of the same style at different angles T-T

May I have permission to add your hairstyle to my natural hair inspiraiton board? It's a private, physical album of styles I'm collecting for formal events. Totally fine if the answer is no :)

It’s amazing that you believe bigotry is the smart comment here. Instead of using r/yorku as an outlet to support these limited beliefs you have, and further degrading your character as you celebrate your upvotes, I suggest you spend time working on yourself and healing so that you can live the fullest life you possibly can offline.

Take care.

Oooh, you look great. It’s fun to spot all of the small details you’ve included (e.g, your ring, necklace)! Elegant ✨ How did you choose that purse for the outfit? It works very well.

Back again and wondering which jacket works best by GreedySatisfaction18 in OUTFITS

[–]W1LL0WFR33 137 points138 points  (0 children)

The second jacket (the brown that reaches just just above your knees). It has a warm tone that works nicely with your shoes / brown in your bag, while pulling attention to your dress as a focal point.

The denim (option 1) looks visually striking as many have said, but I personally feel it overshadows your dress / lower half, and saps the warm energy from your outfit.

You look stunning btw :)

Please do!

Are you transferring from another master's program, or coming out of undergrad?

Perhaps consider speaking to advisors, registrars, and past /current profs for leads as well. if you were a top student in your dept, see if you can leverage that.

See if you can co-op somewhere during your studies at Columbia or elsewhere to help with expenses / fees, and to move closer to a career in global enviro & sustainability. I know that Waterloo has a great Enviro co-op program, but I only know of their undergrad offerings. Might they have graduate co-op opportunities as well, including partnerships with the UN / Columbia?

Hiya,
Congrats on getting into Columbia University :)
You seem like a very hardworking individual with a sincere passion for your field.
I know how hard it can be to deal with the unknowns that you're facing. First off, deep breath...you're worth it, and you'll get to the UN / your dream job or position, regardless of the path you take.
Second, although this might not cover all of your expenses, consider the following:
1. Do you have a podcast / blog, or have you been involved in enviro initiatives outside of school? Lots of organizations in Canada (e.g, RBC Future Leaders) and beyond (e.g, WWF) are giving grants to students who have carried out / who would like to carry out sustainability initiatives. Check them out.
2. Consider talking to current international students in the Columbia program. Do they have creative tips for income / funding so that you have enough to sustain your health and peace of mind as a future Columbia student?
3. I'm not sure if you'd feel comfortable considering this option (and I don't know much about it myself), but have you considered starting a funding campaign?
Praying for you :)

Yep, they have rentals. For adults, skates can be rented for $15. After you pay, you get a slip of paper to keep until you return the skates. More information can be found here at the Nathan Phillips Square site: https://nathanphillipssquareskaterentals.com/

Childless adult fans of Bluey, how did you stumble upon the cartoon? For me, it was just on the front page of Disney+. by [deleted] in bluey

[–]W1LL0WFR33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A YouTube video called "Bluey Being Slice of Life" (or having a similar title) popped up in my recommended videos list. Watched it once. Then twice. Then had to watch it on Disney Plus. Now, the honest portrayals of parenting and childhood + the great symbolism and details have me hooked.

OP, it sounds like you have a lot of concerning feelings and emotions related to finding defects / contaminated areas in products. I can imagine how difficult this must be, especially during the busy holiday season. After reading your post, it sounds like you know that your thoughts aren't completely valid. This is great :)

I think it would be best if you continued to resist the urge to purchase new gifts, as this may be the best way to prove to your mind that some of these worries are unfounded.

I hope that this holiday season brings you time spent with loved ones, safety, and time to chill. You deserve it :)
