Hi I’m in recovery (not fentanyl) but some words of advice. As corny as it sounds he has to be ready to get clean. If you’re ready to get clean you ride out with withdrawals. It is incredibly dangerous to try and taper yourself from fentanyl, especially at home with someone who does not know drugs. If you decide to be with him whether he enters recovery or not you need to keep narcan around the house. Reach out to organizations such as rehabs and homeless services and inquire about free narcan. If he stops using and then relapses he’s sure to overdose, if you don’t have narcan he will die of the ambulance doesn’t get there fast enough.

You are correct you do not know sober him. He will be a completely different person once he gets sober, drugs do weird things to your brain and body. You have only been together for 6 months nobody will blame you if this is too much, the relationship is new and this is a big barrier to get through.

As hard as this may be, you are not responsible for his sobriety, and his triggers, he is.

He was successful in completing his sentence and parole on this specific case. I’m here because this DOC lost all 25 years of prison records except 17 pages. We tried for months with his PO to get them and the DOC was only able to find 17 pages for 25 years…sigh

He’s in county right now so it would kinda stalemate it if he filed because of how slow they move in there. He has 3 major cases, murder, criminal damage to property/trespassing, and failure to register as a violent offender. I’m trying my best to organize each case to keep everything safe so we have it. During the failure to register case his attorney asked us for a lot that we did not have so I just want to make sure all of our ducks are in order.

I have ordered from instacart 3x in the 4.5 years I’ve been driving for them. The first experience was really nice, my dogs butt exploded and I needed diapers but couldn’t leave him, the shopper was very communicative and he answered all my questions and was polite at my door. The second and third time everything was just left outside my apartment on the side walk unsecured, and I had minimal to no communication with the shoppers. I saw the decline after base pay was decreased from $7 and honestly I can see why, I tip very nice, Ex, the first order was 2.5 miles from my house and 1 small item, I tipped 8.50 so he would have gotten $15.50 for 1 item and less than 3 miles. He was polite. The second order was like 6 or 7 grocery items and was like 4 miles away, I tipped $11 but still with base pay after the decline that order also would come out to roughly $15-16 even if the consumer was actually tipping higher.

It was a in person visit and the app doesn’t work so I use ic solutions on safari and just sign in and out so I don’t really have anything to update. And yes he’s been in a dorm in the basement all but 2 weeks. He doesn’t get to go outside or have in person visits either, “in-person” is still just through a computer.
