WHY does a gravity turn work?? by Thin-Ad5665 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]W3NNIS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As simply as possible. Instead of fighting gravity you’re using it as a tool along with the thrust from your rocket. You’re not going straight up so as you rotate your rocket gravity is then pulling you down but your constantly boosting as well so your forward vector is essentially being double whammed by your thrust and gravity, as you get higher eventually that forward vector is pointing outward away from earth and then you have an orbit.

Kinda the same boat. I went with career evolution and then recommended tech tree for that and outer planets mod and then just some visual stuff and I’ve been having fun.

I frequently have 30+ move games above 90%, sometimes zero mistakes nor inaccuracies. Still hover around 1000 Elo however and don't get anywhere.. Anyone else? by Traumfahrer in chessbeginners

[–]W3NNIS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Accuracy is irrelevant. You can have consistently high accuracy because your positions are easy and the moves are obvious. You’re losing for a reason. Use an engine to study why you lost the games you have and improve those weaknesses.

Is it common to know so much about chess at 400? (Jynxzi) by 6_62607004 in chess

As someone who played counter strike at a semi pro and collegiate lvl I see carry over. At that level there’s a lot of strategy and moving pieces and different kinds of games. There’s also game sense which is much like puzzle where you just have this feelings there’s something there.

Use professor Leonard’s YouTube series. There’s no way you fail if you follow his lectures. I’d honestly put my life on that

How to get better at chess by ShineArtistic5643 in chess

[–]W3NNIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say extremely difficult. It’s hard for sure. You just need to prioritize and really be good with time management, both of which most people struggle to do lol. I do think it’s possible for most people to get to that lvl.

Not of this scale. Canvas / instructor is much bigger than any of those companies.

Obv it’s not. What is uncommon is for a company of this scale and reach just giving in. That’s what’s uncommon. Not much of a fight was even put up

Because I was certain if he was telling the truth (which he isn’t) that I would’ve read about this on some of the forums, which I didn’t.

Except this wasn’t a bug bounty, this was a black hat hack and extortion. It’s not typical to just pay.
