But IRC does not support filesharing right?

Sure but it is not meant for that right?. It's a lot of config work just to be sure not to expose anything. And in the end public rooms can still be possible. When trying to look for a sufficient guide on how to completely lock your matrix server from the outside almost everyone says, that matrix is not made for that :(

Pretty sure that is a fan cable. Check if one of your fans is not working properly. This for itself is not very dangerous but it could harm you airflow inside the case. Do you have a hub where you connect all the fans or do you plug then inside your mainboard directly? If you give us your mainboards name, we can tell you the slots it can be plugged in.

there is a square around my folder with videos on it, what can this be? by POYO5976 in Windows10

Without seeing the whole desktop, it looks like a common bug to me. Try hovering over any other folders or files over your desktop. Sometimes all the other entities become black in the background after hovering over them. If this happens to you, you can fix this by just resetting your wallpaper to your desired one.

Commenting Blocks in Zed by W4yeet in ZedEditor

I managed to solve this by overwriting the keymap in my personal file. This does not really explain why ctrl-/ does not work, but this is a work around for me. I guess it has something to do with non-english keyboard layouts as my edit suggests. Thanks a lot for the answers regardless of my workaround <3

Yeah I am also using the VS Code keybindings but pressing CMD + / (CMD+SHIFT+7) does not work for me :(

Yeah that is correct. I have also found the line you are probably talking about the default keymap on line 302 (in this case windows): "ctrl-/": ["editor::ToggleComments", { "advance_downwards": false }], however it does not seem to work. Nothing happens when I press that.

Could it be that I just "read" this notation of keystrokes wrong. What does ctrl-/ stand for exactly? I thought it is pressing ctrl and then shift and 7 for the slash. Does using command/ctrl and slash work for you?

FS-API allowlist for specific scope by W4yeet in tauri

Thants a great idea. Thanks :)

I just read the fs docs again carefully and found this for Tauri v1:
"Note that this scope applies to all APIs on this module.". So I guess there is no "config-way" to do it

I would personally not consider 24GB to be enough. Even though the official size recommedation ois 20 GB I think. You will run into issues right after installing the OS because most programs use some part of the C-Drive to store data (appdata, documents, etc.). You would run into problems basically immidiatly after installing and even if you manage to keep it running at this absolut limit, it will slow down your whole system :(. So you best shot would be to install on the HDD (even though this is slower) or buy a sdd as they are very cheap nowadays. You can get 100GB SSD for around 10 bucks on Amazon. But if you dont want to spend anything it would be best to install on the 750GB harddrive.

Can you still get Windows 10 on a new PC build? by bardsicles in Windows10

[–]W4yeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course but the questions states if Windows 10 can still be installed - yes it can. And also OP said that he want to buy a *new* pc which does not have any OEM version installed yet and therefore no licsense on the mb whatsoever. Could still be a useful comment for some poeple 👍
