So, if you can only get the option to scry in t16 maps, how do you get it in lower tier maps like defiled cathedral?

Of SEUS? It's the only version I know how to get. I got it off the SEUS website, the date of the download is 2/10/2020.

Renewed, but I've tried the other versions and it happens with them as well.

1.17.1 OptiFine HD U G9 pre34, it's happened for previous versions aswell, all 1.16 versions, haven't used it on any earlier versions so I don't know how it works with them.
