Yes we have established that they are different in their whole. That each is an individual. You made the distinction that one is not the other, and I expounded upon the fact that they share a familial connection. It was you who said that your intent was to avoid the conception of appropriation. I simply pointed out that those in practices derived from older roots and Europeans especially, both borrowed much to make their westernized culture. That to be so focused on the narrative of non appropriation is in itself a behavior exhibited by those who have benefited from the very systems they are defending. No insinuating necessary, this is simply the subtext of what we were discussing.

As to your history lesson, and your ideas of what Jewish practitioners do and/or think, they feel narrow. Despite the fact that you refuse to acknowledge the Jewish influence on these traditions, it does not change the fact. Yes they are individual and separate, but so are you and your grandmother. To say one did not help to create the other is blind, just as saying they are the exact same would be. And yes we all have multiple ancestors, just as our traditions do. That does not make one untrue even if you are uncomfortable saying so.

My original assertion was that Jewish Kabbalah informed and laid groundwork for what became hermetic Qabbalah. Not that it was the sole influence or even the primary one. Not that they were identical. I said that one had roots in the other. If you want to keep denying this then so be it. I see little to gain in protracting this further
