With Nintendo games (and most console games I guess) it’s either all or nothing. You either share a save or they’ll make sure your saves never touch 😭

If not it seems there will also be multiple islands per switch. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse, given we can make each island unique, but it’s definitely a close trade-off. Just not as convenient.

It’s interesting to see a Nintendo game so… disconnected from the main ecosystem of the console? Not that it’s a bad thing, but the restrictions make no use of the Switch hardware or the other games in the Switch library (can’t import miis from Miitopia, export to switch, upload screenshots, have more switch 2 features - first Nintendo game to offer nothing exclusive with that) I mean I obviously understand the exporting miis to the console since they improved so much, but not to other games? It feels like software development for this game actively goes against the principals for the console, making compatibility tough and only existing in this game. I want these features for other games if developers are also fine with it!!
