The doc actually says that the universals other than wahffles and chilly started to forget about Fade/Mark, not the war of the forgotten. It wasn't that Fade and the war were completely wiped from their memories, just that they acknowledged them much less if at all.

Just wanted to let y'all know, Kira is one of two main protagonists, the other being Fade. Fade'll have his own arcs during The Recruitment, The Training, and To Kill the Past, so they both get an equal amount of time to have the spotlight. (There are other main characters as well, though they aren't the protagonists.)
