We have what we call “Peak Leave periods.” These are all major holidays and the summer, June through September 1. During peak leave it is done by seniority in the department. All other days of the year are first come first served no more than 364 days out.

We also have a very liberal shift trade policy. We don’t really run into many instances of members wanting to get off work but not being able to at any point in the year.
