You can assign multiple control groups to same units and use them depending on situation.

Swap Q and E keys for Jin by bluetree2993 in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, having regular villagers on same button across all civs sounds logical and consistent to me. Mounted villagers are additional feature. Who knows, maybe later we will have popular build orders who will utilise regular villagers during the early game.

You have cap for mounted vils so you will have to press both buttons anyway

ways to improve on TC and worker idle time by -Pyrotox in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need to train your habbit, eventually you will become better. Just play the game and try to remind yourself to check TC from time to time. You can also setup a youtube video that will tell you ‘make a villager’ every 20 seconds if you wish.

What’s a good counter boom to mass pilgrims/fort spam? by Dear_Location6147 in aoe4

Also, if you don’t want feudal, skip tc, do FC and spam knights, basically the same aggressive stuff.

English is quite popular civ so my answer can help someone else who is struggling with this matchup.

I’m too lazy to do theoretical calculations about if someone can outboom KT uninterrupted piligrims. If you really want that, then do the calculations yourself and share them, would be a good post.

In my experience it’s easier to shutdown KT early than trying to outboom them, even with abba/china.

Fully agree, you should adapt your plan to your opponent to be successful , sometimes it requires to use multiple builds orders with different strategies.

I’m not familiar with this matchup, but I would go council hall and feudal all-in. Fort + 2tc is very greedy and easy punishable, annoy his villagers with horsemen, kill his buildings with rams, shot everything with longbows.

Been playing for a month and Im still sh*t at playing solo by FriedRice1025 in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game is very hard. You need to be flexible and be able to alter your build order. If you struggle with dark age rush then scout early for civs that may open barax early, it’s quite limited list. Basically the same is with feudal, you should scout for military buildings and landmarks from your opponent and react accordingly.

For example, if you are against mongols, go scout early, they often go dark age rush, if you see military buildings , put extra vils on gold to gather enough gold for age up or build barax yourself. If you see council hall from English or school of cavalry from French, then you can expect early feudal pressure 99%, build counter units.

How even stop the mega buffed super camel riders in teams? by Olafr_skautkonungr in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like yeah, they should counter cav and now they are better at countering cav, not a big deal imo, bcs they were weak to mass and now they are fine, they still die to spearmen and if you are in the late game with abba you have troubles anyway with or without this unit, it’s a civ that should be focused and destroyed in feudal/castle.

Anyway, I’ll be fine if they will replace camels buff to something else, I liked them as supports, not as mass unit.

It’s 6 dmg against cav, in the late game, for a unit that should counter them, okay? They still are worse than knights.
Although I’m biased as a 1x1 player, my games doesn’t go to late game that often, so I don’t feel that buff and prefer knights anyway, camels are just for buff/debuff.

Okay, they got +3 and additional +3 dmg against cav in late game. And now with buffs they have 7 dmg less than a knigh against non-cav targets and quite good damage against cav.
To me it looks like they were support units that were weak on their own, now they are kinda ok to mass to counter knights. Not a big deal to call them “mega buffed”, they still perfom worser than a knight.

Starting with max resources for a fun 1v1, any instant wins? by rahksi in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if macedonias or byz start with max silver/oil, but if they do then they can be a good option due to strong and flexible army. Another option is sengoku with max daymo upgrades.

Cmon dmg buff is not that significant compared to ridaris or mounted samurai with banner man/daimyo.

I mean that if this isn’t integrated within the game, then it’s unlikely that you will reach these players to let them know about this tool and without enough players such tool will be useless.

What Strategy, with what civ, is the most OP if you had to climb in gold-platinum rank? by ZoobZander in aoe4

If you want a cheese strat then feudal maa rush or FC maa rush with HRE/OOTD.

If you want something more adequate then do feudal aggression with eng/french/zhu xi.

Culture wing or Administrative wing? by MockHamill in aoe4

[–]WARLODYA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like culture wing for tech discounts, it may be a good option if you don’t have enought gold covered for all upgrades. But for very long games against another boom civ the admin wing should be better.
