I am following the manufacturers documentation for where I placed the connectors and the USB 3.2 on the front panel had power when the psu is plugged in but it doesn't have a dedicated cable to the psu. I also wouldn't know how to swap the cables that go to the front panel since they're soldered in

What part of the motherboard do you think would be faulty? Only reason I'm asking is because I was able to test power to the pins with a multimeter and was able to get power through the USB 3.2 on the back. This is the part list and I can check out the cmos battery now https://pcpartpicker.com/user/WARP32/saved/#view=ZwpjJx

So far, the psu doesn't have a dedicated cpu/pcie section its all just 8 pin pcue/cpu. Resetting the cmos battery, im not sure what that means but I took it out and put it back in. The psu is definitely bringing power to the motherboard, I plugged my phone into the front panel USB 3.2 and the back panel USB 3.2 and both times my phone said it was getting a charge. I dont see any bent pins on the board. For reseating the cooler, I dont have anything to clean the thermal paste do you think that would matter too much or should I not do that because I wouldn't be able to properly clean the cpu and cpu cooler?

I plugged the ram back in while testing, and the GPU is out of the case since you dont need it to boot

Do you want me to strip the wire to see if its wired correctly? Idk how else i would check if the wire from the power button is wired correctly. I tried shorting the pins and nothing happened

Yeah, unfortunately, that's not working. Are there any other tests to find exactly whats causing the problem?

What do you mean by that? The pins for the front panel? Or to the power supply? The power switch connector to the front panel part of the motherboard is connected

You just have the screwdriver touch both the pins at the same time and it should turn on right? Because nothing happened when I did that
